what's the bet that those who have been able to purchase tickets will get [censored] over by the ticketek system refresh???

nah. they aren't refreshing the system they would just be waiting for all pending transactions to go back to available.

This is a joke. I’m in a meeting trying to secretly buy tickets and it keeps not processing and timing me out. FFS Ticketek you are a joke!!!!

Anyone who was successful via online, do the actual tickets (PDF) distinguish between Member & Member Guest?

No theyre the same

Common sense would have had Richmond v Hawthorn today all day for members and our game tomorrow and halve the traffic FFS, AFL & Ticketek you morons there is a week and a bit before the games. ?????????

Rational explanation and calm reasoning such as this is simply unacceptable at Finals time!

My son got 4 good tickets at 9.15. I  wonder if there is an advantage in going straight in to premierticketek.com.au and not going ia the club or afl site?? Not sure what made it so straight forward for him

I started at 9 and did the same as your son, just the luck of the draw Bigred.

While I have not been involved in recent years I have lots of friends of other clubs who tell me it this way every year. It beggars belief that the AFL allow this fiasco every year.

i will hang in till 12 then it is tv for me.

i have thought my membership is a charitable donation for over a decade and today confirms it.

So how do we know when it's up?

The AFL and Ticketek send Scarlett Johansson around to your place with a personal notification and apology

Ticketek, pathetic, hopeless, a joke, how they perform like this and stay in business is just amazing.

Ok that's good that it is just a ticketek issue. I hope you get your tickets soon!

Cheers. Just got them however a pain it was. Even at end booked in for next available and page gave me Cat 2 which is good then timed out and back into payment and guess what they sold us Cat 3 up behind Goals. Assume at back of ground level behind cheer squad. At least got the tickets for boys and Grand Kids so here we come. Go Dees

Ok, I am slightly enthused by that, thanks.

Now just need to get on to the website.  I'd been stuck on the auto-refreshing "you're in the queue" page for the last two hours

Ok, so for some reason this link allows access to the website: https://premier.ticketek.com.au/

Whereas this one http://www.ticketek.com.au/  is on the permanent "you're in the queue" loop.

I tried the former, got in fine and can see my ticket sitting there, waiting to be printed.

The first link takes me to a 5 second countdown and refresh. The second link takes me to a 15 second countdown and refresh!

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
