This game has an uncanny resemblance to the last game against collingwood in 2017. Playing for our season & playing like a bunch of [censored]. Look like we’ve shat our pants... missed tackles, missed handballs, dropped marks, poor disposals.. The only reason we’re in this is cause adelaide are playing very poorly.

We’re ‘good ordinary’ - same as them

That whole clutch of sides from basically 5-12 is super, super even, and we’re right in that mix

I'll see your good ordinary...and call it BOG ordinary. Skipper showing the way !!

They are down a man for the second half, we need to try to make the most of the extra rotations. Try to run them off their feet.

we should be able to win this, we have so many players down and playing poorly, we only need a few to step up and play. it would be nice if hogan put in a bit more, he is terribly slow at moving the ball. only a couple of kicks behind, man up and please tackle..

I just want to know what’s going on with Max (2nd week down), Jones (6th week down?), Brayshaw (can’t get it), Petracca (where you at?) and Hogan (who?)

Given we are already missing Lever, Viney and Hibbo, we can’t afford for some of our better players to go missing!

and the Jones lovers will cream themselves over his 14 - with 4 turnover kicks and 10 x 1m handballs. The captain, absolutely putrid.

Give up on the Jones bashing Febes and open your eyes

He's getting the ball deep inside with 2 blokes hanging off him most of the time - one of those was cleaning up a Brayshaw fumble

We have to try Pedersen again

We can’t risk McDonald in the ruck

Frost has a real go but no intelligence

Need some bodies that can tackle

Van der Berg  and Possibly Smith

You could have said the same of Jetta in 2013.

Not so. Jets always had a strong body but was played as a forward.

JKH is a lightweight with hollow legs. I saw much of him at University of Melbourne and he approached his (former) studies like his footy. Close enough but not hard enough.

Those who rate him as an AFL will condemn this club to mediocrity. One or 2 cameos a match and several misses on goal do not a strong team make.

The quicker the coach ceases this failed experiment the better.

Great handpass Tyson..

Tyson....

All you schmucks talking about the bloke with the wig need too shut yer pieholes.

Do you mean an exact resemblance to the game at the Adelaide oval last year?

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
