Give Lewis his 300th game this week and retire him.

Start getting some games into the players

on the fringe in the next 5 weeks to see what we have for next year.

Nice, Sweet, efficient move on to 2019, 2018 a complete waste of everyones time and energy.

no......we must play our best 22 for rest of the season

we are a potential winner in each remaining game....we have the ability

lewis is clearly still best 22

despite the agony of last night it was still a cracker game of football

Terrible comment.

We are playing the next 5 weeks to play finals, not worry about next year.

Exactly. We aren't a bottom four side that needs to blood the kids. We had a set back last night but we are still right in the frame to play finals.

Whaaaaat?

Anything other than maximum focus on winning every game is madness. Lewis has had some less than stellar games this year but is overall a pretty good contributor who is in the current best 22, particularly with the injuries we have.

Are people really already sooking their way out of trying for the rest of the year? More comfortable to fail if you just say 'oh, never mind, there was never a chance anyway'? I mean, I'm a pathetic loser myself in most things, but to wish it upon your football club is just bad form.

Not trying to win every game this year would be 'loser mentality'. We have to be better than this now. We may not win enough games to make it this year but we do have the ability if things go right.

In 2019 I will do something I haven’t done before.

put on some decent size bets on demons for the premiership, top4 and top8 and no13 to win the Brownlow.

Forget 2019.    We are going to make the finals this season, and we are going to win a final.

Its going to be glorious.

Watching Footy Classified tonight I nearly fell of my chair when they mentioned the AFL are considering giving out three priority picks this season Carlton, Gold Coast and St Kilda. No words could describe how [censored] I will be if any of them get a priority pick let alone all three.

For real?? St Kilda??? Did they give reasons and what they are basing this on?

From 2012-2017 Saints have won 50 games and we have won 39.

Caro said that the AFL feel the Saints list is in worse shape than Carlton’s. Which to be fair it probably is. But all we were told when we were rubbish was get your culture right put the right people in place you shouldn’t get rewarded for your own mistakes. It’s absolute hypocrisy, but I guess that is the AFL.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
