Gawn bloody good but

No...please question the 'steering committee " ....i do.

That was a schmozzle...from selection to execution.

A train wreck forseen.

Question him and question him hard. He's shown absolutely nothing as a game day coach or developer of young players.

The only reason we LOST this game was because of bad, bias umpiring.

Umpiring was appalling, but look at the ladder. We lost this game because we played awful slow footy.

Our "brand" is built around roles.

Can't say either is working too well.

Goodwin must hate Paul Roos.

He took any bit of defence Roos instilled in us and [censored] it right off.

Patently obvious that has occurred. It began to look elite twelve months after Roos' departure - experience building. Now, absolute tripe, poor selections, poor development, no genuine aggression or skills.

Lost this one at selection.

The balance wasn’t right today.

Harry Petty has potential but should have been kept in wraps for a while longer.

Billy Stretch and Sam Frost have been very strong for weeks at Casey and should have been picked.

WJ agrees with me on this issue- Goodwin couldn't pick his nose.

Come on media hit us hard and put the acid on Goodwin!  This club deserves all the tags it wears.  Losing to a bottom team who played with purpose and heart.  We are a club who has no Heart!!!! Goodwin and his rabble of a coaching group should hang their heads in shame.  Another generation of supporters getting killed off by this club.

We need to bring out our own version of this for that 6 game winning streak we had before we fell off a cliff.  Its the closest thing this club will ever have to success.

Petty not ready

Oscar very weak 1 on 1

Viney wasted tagging

McDonald obviously not 100%, agree he should have been rested

Needed one of Stretch, Garlett, Spargo

Obviously our best came in the final qtr. Many lifted in that 30 minutes... the heavy criticism of Jones is unwarranted, J Smith had several important involvements when forward of the centre, clutch goal by Lewis was fantastic, Hogan contributed during last. Gawn, Viney, Hibberd, Harmes, Fritsch our best

Every week is a new challenge, we're not done yet!

Give Keilty a run, Frost has the experience but Dec has been playing better plus as a mature age recruit whose been at VFL level for 4 years now I don't think he'll look anywhere near as lost as Petty did out there.

How the hell we came to within 2 points I'll never know, good fight back in the last quarter but just horrible.

Has any club had as many false dawns as Melbourne?

This year is done even if we are still in the 8. We’ve been found out. Just run and run and you’ll win the game against our slow plodders.

The MFC has no balls

Norm Smith gelded the club the day he was sacked

NOTHING has changed in 53 years within the soul of this club

Personel come and go, but we remain in the same place

Soft under pressure

As I posted before the game, the umpires had to force the score-evening goals in the first half; they excelled, maintaining these incorrect and unnecessary decisions for the entire game. By half time, I had counted 4 StKilda goals being granted for unwarranted 'infrigements', perhaps the 5th could be included for 'absolute tiggy-touchwood' decision-making as it was getting more dificult to spot the error when it was not there. We are being cheated and this is the 8th time this season that it has occurred - albeit we still won a couple of games in that mix. We cannot allow this to continue - it is too obvious and everyone is scared to comment on it. The Club must initiate the enquiry, not be one referral but frequently, en masse, seriously, as there is now adequate video footage to be used as evidence.

Well the statistics show that St Kilda did a lot more short kicks than us. Against Port Adelaide we just continually  banged it up to a very crowded full forward and hoped someone marked it. This is how we consistently fail to score against good teams and poor teams for that matter. We just never  beat St Kilda and Hawthorn and …….  Perhaps a team from Darwin could represent us?

Joel Smith to come in and play Lever's role? What a joke.

Frost was the obvious option.

Petty not even near it but lets choose him ahead of Frost!  So Goody.

No crumbing small forward 2 weeks running...still betting eveything on 3 Talls.. joke of the year especially when found out against the Pies and Port (both in the 8).  If that doesn't tell you something then you don't deserve to be coaching any team at AFL level.

You get an idea of an umpires underlying motivation when he pays in the back against Salem after a magnificent chase and tackle (the in the back resulted from the Saint player diving forward well after being pinned legitimately). Similarly last week, Nicholls motivation was laid bare for all to see with the 'blocking' free against Melksham.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
