Bugg does get in all the right areas, just doesn’t normally kick straight, if he can then he’s damaging.

Is in our top 5 this season for score involvements (averages) at AFL level

It has to be a bit of a concern. This season if Max was injured Peds would back him up hopefully admorably as he did last year. But Peds is 31 and would only have a year max left in him after this you would think. Hope we can get plenty of match experience and continue to develop our two young rucks.

He's not showing any signs yet of slowing down, I reckon.

Has the talent to be better than the VFL but not the skill set to make him good in the AFL. He is not alone.

Plenty knocking down the door for selection, pressure on tomorrow if you don’t perform

One of the signs of a good club.

Great to see so many playing well today to keep the pressure on, although it sounds like Frankston aren't exactly what you would term as 'stiff opposition'.

I think its mind over matter for Buggy.  He should be able to overcome that.

Jeffy is going ok - a couple of goal assists which set up Pedo who's definitely been the star of the show.

Tyson is the carry over emergency for tomorrow so isn't playing.

Thanks mate

Thanks KC, Drunkn67 and all other posters, sounds like a really great win from our perspective and after all that is all that counts, Sounds like Pedo had a Cracker of a game, looking forward to stats and write-up's. Go Casey............!!!!!!!!!!!!!,

Go Dee's.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just came back from the game. One way traffic but a couple of observations.

Oskar Baker made several poor decisions and this was a little disappointing. Needs to inject himself into the game a bit more. And get rid of that shite haircut. If you're playing badly don't bring attention to it. I made a point of watching his game and there's clearly potential but I left unconvinced about his footy smarts (this coming from someone who was a really dumb player)

Jayden Hunt played ok but chip kicks aren't his go. Good voice out on the field.

JKH is too smart a footballer for this level but is probably unlucky to be at Melbourne given our number of mids.

Pedo was outstanding.

Bugg has presence and, to his credit, he was very good today.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
