Usually fairly difficult (though not impossible) to lose by getting out to a 48pt margin in the second quarter. 

For me it's definitely about the start, particularly with lower ranked clubs if you get out to an early margin it breaks them (speaking from experience). Scoreboard pressure from the start, don't allow them easy access to Brown, lower the eyes for targets going inside 50. If we play the way we've been playing for most of the year it should be a very comfortable win. Let's see if we can play better.

If the Adelaide match in Darwin is anything to go by then some light rain and a slippery ball is not a help. It exposed our lack of ball-handling class and makes our high-risk quick-movement playing style all the more difficult to execute.

Maybe heavy rain and a hard slog would be more to our suiting, but it would also benefit North's slower big-bodied mids and turn it into a crap-shoot. It also hampers our recovery for GWS. We may be a hard, contested team, but we play dry-weather football.

Our earlier loss this season to North was a real let down and it is really time to put this losing streak to the sword.

Hopefully Garlett continues his good form and even better goals with some of those kicks he just missed last week. Watching the replay he could have had a 6-7 goal game easily.

When we played North last time we still had not synced our new game plan/style. So I feel we are superior now.

I also feel the reason why North rested players last week and brought some back this week is because they know their future is as the Tassie Kangaroos and they need to play their best for their Tassie Brand.

Port & North I previously believed had the big bodied players to potentially monster our young team. After we took care of Port last week we only have to emulate last weeks performance to gets the chocolates tomorrow. Go Dees!

i agree its just a matter of consistency. We bring the same application as last week we win this easily.

There's no way North beat Crows in Adelaide, Eagles in Perth, or Port we are better and must win this week or it's a backward step.

Big chance to leapfrog the swans after their loss and cement our spot in the 8, but feeling really nervous about playing North.

We could be playing the wooden spoon team here so we better kill them!

Don't we have another record of losing to the wooden spoon teams every year? Oh wait, we've lost to them already

It was easily our worst display with the zone defence. One of the most frustrating things I've watched this year and I doubt North have ever enjoyed scoring so many easy goals. 

And it was still close. 

This time they'll be relying a lot more on contested grabs. In those conditions, good luck. I'm still not confident, but my uncle and I have joked for so long that we'll never beat North again while we're alive, it's not really a joke anymore.

Norf are supposed to have cleared out their older players and are playing youf.  Still a year older and more experienced than us this week.

Yes I don't get it on the phone either.  I got it on tablet (and desktop). Tablet explains my rubbish paste job.

I said three days ago the rain wouldn't be a factor.  I spent my youth watching footy in Hobart and I reckon I could count on one hand the number of times we watched games that became complete slogs.  Winter in Tassie mostly comprises of Westerly patterns coming from the Roaring 40s, so the western half of the state gets slammed by rain, but it rarely makes it as far in as the south east.  Hobart is definitely a cold place in winter, but isn't usually a wet one.

Launceston is a different story.  It rains there a lot more than it does in Hobart.

If it rains at all, it will be just enough to annoy those of us sitting out in the open (i.e. just about everyone at the ground).  The wind, on the other hand, probably will have an effect.

You might still make the opening bounce.  Would be 20 minutes from Hobart Airport to Blundstone Arena absolute tops.  Disembark and run for the taxi rank and you should get there by 1:30 still.
