Personally I think Bruce has to wear a condom to capture his output during the game especially when commentating his faves like Danger, Franklin, Buddy, etc (and he has to change it regularly)

...you forgot Cyyyrrril but I am sure Broooce remembers him in his dreams.

Be interesting to see how Cats go against Hawks today

Only watched a quarter and a bit of the peptides big win, but it looked to me that Saints weren't chasing at all

Mind you, not beating much. Derrwane, BT in particular.

Yep, i know, i probably shouldn't have started in the first place. With regard to exploited, one would do well to get into this bloke's [Daniher] mind with how good he is taking such great marks and the rest of his team has to put up with size 14's getting into their shoulders, neck and head and the team revolves around him etc, etc. Everyone has a weakness, and at this level a lot of time should be studied how to get the result required and maybe you would only need to do it once.

And fortunately for us it was kicking for goal, that particular day.

Why are Gold Coast so [censored]? On paper they're a decent side. Watching them is horrible, no heart,  no grunt, just a nothing side.

Agreed. And they have managed to take top end talent and make it second rate. There was a time when Jack Martin was going to be the next sensation.

Nothing like me bagging something to spark it into action.

the real concern is what the AFL will do to prop up Brisbane and GC from a playing viewpoint not to mention financially.

GC is a basket case. With the Commonwealth games next year they will be without a stadium for much of the year just to make things more difficult.

Hard to see how the AFL could have got it more wrong than putting a team on the Gold Coast.

Come on GC beat those pies.

Just saw ch10 sport. Ryder had a massive massive towel like bandage around his ankle.

By the way only heard the hawks cats on radio, How far was Smith out when he marked and should he have played on?

Marked it about 47 out would have had to kick from 50 slight angle

Would have been around 40 meters out almost straight in front. In hindsight he definitely shouldn't have played on haha

Is North's Scott a dead man walking?

And if GCS pull their fingers out and win, Bucks can join him, despite Uncle Eddie's protestations (though the schudenfreude part of me hopes they keep him).

Brad Scott keeps saying he'll coach North as long as they want him. Either he or the players (or both) are doing their best to ensure that the club don't want him any longer!!!

So much absolute BS "they did it for Bucks today"!

So when they play badly they forgot about him?

Three games today involving three of our direct competitors for spots in the eight. They are all possibilities of upsets too.

Richmond vs Brisbane (Etihad)

Freo vs West Coast

Carlton vs W Bulldogs (MCG)

Freo beating West Coast is the most likely.  Carlton will find it hard without Cripps, though they are playing with some spirit, and the Dogs are struggling.  Brisbane beat Essendon two weeks ago at the same ground, so they have the capability to roll the TIgers.

Unlikely all three upsets will happen, but even just one of them happening will be good for us.

Have to give credit where credit is due:  Dangerfield!

He couldn't walk but kicks 5.6 (most after the injury) leading to the ball.  He single handedly won the game - Geelong won by just 3 points.  He is tough as - has played many games this year with bruised ribs.  Constantly plays with extreme pain.

As a player has it all: extremely talented, fast, tough, fair.   As a person he seems intelligent and honest.

If he wins the brownlow it will be very well deserved.  He is one of the best sporting and football role models going round.  Has few peers at the moment.

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
