This is a gutsy, gutsy performance.

If we win this with all these injuries it will be huge.

No chance against Sydney, however.

True but how much do I want this feral crowd to feel the pain.

Fark. Let a quick one through. Not good...

Still going Dees, great determination!

Eagles are seriously average. We are playing hurt. I can't stand their supporters. We need to win this.

Left all the tackles at Etihad

We can't lay a tackle at the moment.

Tyson is just too sloppy and slow for AFL level when under heat.  Coffs the ball up way too easy too often and so slow to execute he brings the heat on himself and others around him.  Up forward with a bit more space and time he fairs a little better.

We're running out of legs.

McGovern has killed us.

Frees for falling over now! Seen it all.

What was that free for?

I feel sick watching this. It's de javu.

Can the umpires please stop winning them this match

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
