GAMEDAY - Round 8

Featured Replies

The one thing we will struggle with tonight is that transition from a stoppage coming out of their back half.  We just lack that extra key target to give us a chop out.  It allows them to zone off and get the ball.

In the last instance we did exactly what we should do all night, but we weren't rewarded for the great tackle.

That was a free to Garlett. Ball all day long.

cheating umps.

Fend off has to be the "indicator" for the decision, [censored] poor.

Pathetic call.

Having Roo in the commentator’s box is like giving a random Crows supporter the mike.

How many times are the Crows going to get tackled and drop it?

It's going to be tough playing at this intensity for 4 quarters.

True, but the Crows don't like it tough.  They like their running game and if we put pressure on they won't like it.

Don't mind that from Kent either, make them earn it.

Can’t imagine JKH doing anything like Kent just did there with his late bump. Love his mongrel.

This coverage is pathetic. They stick the camera on Adelaide players and replays and we miss pivotal game play.

Strategic by Kent.

Does anyone notice the yelling Melbourne fan who was near the TV mic during last years win over Port?

I'll be loving it if we kick a few and he cheers for each one!

Jacobs put Bugg on the deck....even dumber.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
