Thanks.

Although if true I'm not sure it should be divulged.  He should be afforded total privacy, not partial privacy.

The club said illness for a reason and if anything is shared more publicly I know I'd happily wait for such information as the club sees fit.   Or otherwise.

Well said, PD!

On the AFL site they just suggested Weideman would a good replacement for Hogan, as they are like for like.

Oh really!

Yes Mr Leg it is a bit like saying a Mada 2 is a like for like replacement for a Mercedes E class.

They're both over 190cm. Hence like for like.

On that basis I am a good replacement for Viney.

Bad analogy OD. Mazda's are perhaps the most reliable cars one can buy. A Holden Commodore more like.

With Lynch back in our centre clearance work is the clear key to our chances.

I fear a drubbing if the Crows forwards get decent ball.

The mids are going to be working overtime tomorrow night.

What I didnt get was why Kent only got to play one game as opposed to 2 or 3. Aside from his form (which was at least a pass) in his one game why was he not afforded the chances that so many others have had?

If they don't do what they are told they get dropped. Simples.

Now we are going to have a differing view here LDC.

if I was looking for the most reliable car a Toyota would win by the length of the straight.

My analogy was that the Weid is a small around town cheaper and the Merc is a prince capable of high performance with extreme comfort. In fact there is no comparison is there?

Qtr Cask......

Instead of using Tom as a part time ruck, I'd use his brother. Get him in around the physical stuff, get him being crunched. He's not a prized recruit (ie a top draft pick), so what do we have to lose?

I said similar things about Watts about 5 years ago and got howled down by all and sundry. Been the best thing for him.

No Hogan is gonna make it tough tomorrow night. Reckon Crows will be breathing fire after an embarrassing loss last week and smash us by 10 goals. This year is pretty much a write off now I fear :(

While that might have a small amount of merit I think it would do zero to help winning this game.. In fact I think it would have a serious negative effect.

I'll still take the the Mazda though Toyota are great too. I have high hopes for Weed and Hogan still not up to Merc class performance yet.

Of course not TF but that is exactly the point. Simply having the same height means nothing.

We will therefore perhaps just agree there is a gulf of performance between the two adc.

It's a shame picket hasn't heard about your football prowess OD. He could have made a recommendation to the match committee.

No Ted. We all know the match committee only listens to Saty.

If only TF I would love to just be the same age.

The ageing process has nothing to recommend it.

Hold the phone my appreciation of Single malt is the result of getting older.

I'm beginning to have similar fears.

Except for the brain. A 50 year old brain with a 20 year old body would be awesome.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
