I think Nasher is alluding to the fact that the software becomes more bloated each time it updates. They include a lot of features that are either unnecessary or rarely used.

Programmers justify their existence!!!

I can also vouch for the demon land polo shirts - got one last Ye which I proudly wear to games.

Yes delete most of the trite ,inane, twerpy dull stuff .

That should account for about 98 per cent of the capacity.

Are you sure you want The No T$ No B$ Thread deleted

Sorry, you led with your chin there Biff!

I will make a donation after pay day (May 9). Bread & water till then...

I've just taken out the Lifetime Subscription and should have done it ages ago. I don't contribute much but read the site daily and really happy to support the massive work you do for us diehards (deehards?)

Thanks for giving us all the forum to voice, to vent and to celebrate.

I really don't want anyone who can't afford it to have to contribute. This is not mandatory. If you can spare it then it is much appreciated. I don't want anyone inconveniencing themselves or their families.

Not an inconvenience at all. Demonland has provided a lot over this last decade!

Fifty dollars from me.

Maybe those people who like those little tete-a-tete, personal, in-crowd, charmed-circle posts and jokes about irrelevant personal lives, dogs, food, weddings etc. could desist in the recognition that every post fills up space that Demonland has to pay for.

Or not.

I love my cat, she is the best, bet she missed me while I was at my mates wedding last weekend, was worth it though, the food was great :)

Damn, should pay my way before commenting like this.

most of biffo's actual posts have already been deleted, along with uncle bitters' cruder attemts at literacy......thankfully

Ditto to all the nice things said about Demonland above.  I Couldn't survive without it!  I'm another one ashamed to admit I've only today finally taken out a Lifetime subscription!  (And, was super impressed to see all the ads disappear almost instantaneously!  Thanks!)

Well done Andy, Nasher & others who help keep the site functioning.

Cheers, and Go dees!!

I've sent a donation as well. Keep up the great work guys. Go Dees❤️?

I'm interested in subscribing. What are the current prices? Is it still $80 / $30?

And how is this done?

It's $60 and $25 now.

Go here and follow the prompts.

Grouse, mouse.

I'm soaking it up in Bali for a couple of weeks, gonna get onto the lifetime one when I get home (don't wanna spend our holiday monies ATM, my better half mightn't be amused!).

Cheers for the advice and thank you for all the work providing this site. Although it does nothing for my tragic footy/Dees addiction !

Hope you got my 50 Strange PayPal reference on my transfer notice.

i think I joined lifetime previously so an extra payment which barely recognises the enjoyment provided by posters and the skills that moderators and operators obviously have.

i have steam driven computer knowledge and can only admire your technical capacity.

If the team functioned as reliably as you guys we would have had more previous joy.

I see the donation target is $2K and we are presently at $1785

C'mon Demonlanders even if it's only the cost of a cup of coffee donated we can make that target easily !!

I worked out that it cost about $2,847.00 per year barring any tech support with our hosting company that usually requires a $30 day pass. I also like to send Nasher a few Demonland bucks every so often as a token of appreciation for him being available on call 24/7 and for the pain and suffering he endures by spending time in the match day threads especially when we are losing.

I've increased the target to $3000 so hopefully that covers the costs of running the site for the entire year ahead.

There are a lot of ways you can help us out.

You can take out a Demonland Annual or Lifetime Subscription to remove the ads that you see on Demonland: http://demonland.com/forums/store/category/2-subscriptions/

If you are already a Subscriber and would like to assist further you can always donate to Demonland: http://demonland.com/forums/clients/donations/

If you want to help out Demonland and also look cool doing it you can purchase some Demonland branded merchandise: http://demonland.com/forums/store/category/3-merchandise/

Thank you for any help that you can give. I truly do appreciate it.

I would be seriously happy if some of mine was deleted Nasher. I

Old dee, seems like someone has already deleted most of your second sentence.

Can someone mount an argument that donating to Demonland should be tax deductible? I'm no tax accountant or lawyer, so my best argument for it at the moment is the vibe of the thing. Surely we can find a better argument than that.

I see my contributions as a payment that improves my mental health LDC.

Without Demonland the MFC would have driven me to the asylum  over the last decade.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
