Who takes Kent's spot for round 1?

Kent clearly wont be ready for round one. who would you like to see take his spot? JKH, DJ orย ANB?

ย

JKH or Kennedy?

ย

Should we trade an apple for an apple? Could we also bring in the Bear and have the one small crumbing forward?

I get the feeling that they will persevere with JKH, otherwise, if not, it could be a lifeline for Harmes who might otherwise not have made the cut for Round 1.

Can I have it?

if not me, I'd settle for any of the 5 midfielders I couldn't fit in the 22 last time I tried.ย

so much better having real depthย

so long 2d mfc

With Lewis and Jones moving to the half back I like the idea of Vinceย forward.ย

You make your own luck, and JKH had very little to none on Saturday. Having the ball ripped out of his hands was particularly unfortunate.

But he was in the right spots very often and so close to being a part of it, Id definitely give him another go. I think and hope he will step up.

I like JKH - he has tricks and usually very clean. Not super quick but there is talent there. I think ย last season they rightly queried his commitment to the cause and I suspect this season is the last role of the dice for him.

I would like to clone JKH and Harmes ( and throw a bit of hunt pace in as well).ย

Tom Bugg gets the nod for me. I see him developing as a really hard working defensive forward more than a mid. He takes a strong contested mark and is accurate in front of goal. JKH showed very little on the weekend and I just can't see much of an upside to him after one outing. But then again it was only the first game and I hope I'm proven wrong.ย

Will be interested to see Trengove get a run there over the next week or so. Strong overhead, elite endurance so he can get right up the ground and back, apparently training the house down.

I actually thought JKH was ok on Saturday. Thought he did everything right, was fairly clean. I'm also fairly certain he isn't as slow as some suggest, we just haven't seen it yet.

I love Harmes, particularly for his attack on the footy. But I'd say he's midfield depth at the moment.

I'm really big on JKH i think he can slot in the 22 if he can get a big enough run at it. He just seems to be in the right place at the right time. Kents injury i think gives him the best chance to come in even if he plays mostly on the wing and we have a brayshaw, salem or vince rotate in kent's forward role.

I also like alot of what Harmes brings but he was borderline before saturdayย and didnt do himself any favours with a belowย average performance... If he wants to grab a spot of an injured player then he needs to play pretty well in the next 2 JLTs

They also seem to continue to persist with AVB in the forwardline so they might play him in that role too.ย

I believe they're trying to get both him and Tyson fit for the 3rd JLT game and then they can play the VFL practise match so I don't think he's down and out just yet.

ย But if he does miss, I think JKH could fill in okay.

I would think Petracca is the most likely.ย  What I'm wondering is whether VDB is going to be able to hold his spot.ย  We could very well see Garlett, Bugg and Petracca as our small/mid-sized forwards.ย

We have so many possible options for trouble-making small half-forwards, the decision is just about random.

Kennedy, Kennedy-Harris, Bugg, Melksham, Johnston, we could give Nibbler a try up there, send Vince on a goal-seeking holiday, or just give Petracca and Brayshaw extra time up forward.

It is pretty much our best depth position, so it'll have to be decided competitively. Unless someone really stands out in the practice matches, we're not going to know who it is until the team sheets come out.

That being turnovers, an ability to burn teammates and an increasingly obvious ability to only beat up on the bottom four teams?
