This umpiring is disgusting.

50m should be 30m, it works out to be 2 kick penalty

too much panic and poor technique by Dees.

So many of them hanging back, not attacking the ball or their opponents.

Horrible to watch, is that 1.0 scored in their last 4 quarters?

i don't normally comment on the umpiring, but gee they are giving all to the pies.  Missing blatant our then giving the same offence to the pies a few seconds later.

Half to go though,

won't matter - no forward line

Where's Jessie?

The maggots are killing us. No problem with being pinged for incorrect disposal or HTB if the same rule is applied to the opposition.

Our structures are broken as well and I reckon Pies are harder at it. Suspect some of our girls are gun shy after some of those decisions. The maggots are killing us

Well, at least we can be sure that failing to make effective use of inside 50s is a true Demon thing.

I'm frustrated but not giving up on it just yet.

Our players have absolutely no awareness at all...this is like watching Neeld era Dees.

Correct. Turnovers under zero pressure. Limited run and dysfunction in the forward half. Stinear has his work cut out methinks...

Too many players who just can't kick, meaning any ball movement just inevitably breaks down.

Coach's instructions are "lift your workrate"?????? Non specific instructions will not help.

yes and apart from Daisey too many slooooow decision makers with poor disposal skills. Allowing pie players to close down space and put even more pressure on their disposals. Too many handballs too.

I suspect the Pies are under done though fitness wise and look a little too heavy over the ground for a Women's team for mine. Not enough quick runners across the ground.

If the Demons can clean up and quicken up their disposals I reckon they get pretty close here

Well yeh until they fix the problem.

Let's not forget last years grand final was one of the worst umpiring performances you will see. What's been done nothing?

The umps are the least effect here. No cohesive skills or game plan !!  Did a coach turn up ? Cant tell

Well, those are three of the best goals in the women's game so far.

(I might be biased)

Unbelievable, 1 goal in 4 quarters then 4 goals in 1 quarter.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
