Hi can u guess my name?  I had been walking to and throw across the earth, watching mankind trying to live right following my former boss,  I of cause was undermining things. I had been doing many bad things,  I wanted to do something good,  my favorite footy team last won in 1926 and yes i had a hand in that flag, so I was looking at who I could help to turn the first club, to go back to where  it once  belonged at the top, I found him but first I had to give him something, a flag as a coach with his first love, those upstart tigers. I told him he would become one of the greatest,  i told him to rename his new club after my name so he would  become the greatest, we had some success but had a set back,  I came to him with a new plan I told him all out attack, with the red fox to lead the way,  he would also become one of the greatest even greater,  we won three in a row, the only thing that could stop as was me, my other love starting wars cost my team we lost a few boys to that war. Now it's come to pass I gave my man one last miracle, it would be the first time I cursed those bombers,  every shot at goal they took the wind would blow to push the ball between the point post, that GF  was a draw and the next week those bombers knew I my force was not with them, my red fox was always the key he would become the greatest of all.  As we sit here today once again I have found my man, and again I have told him like all those years ago all out attack my Goodwin.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

  • POSTGAME: Western Bulldogs

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
