How good is finals footy?

Doggies need to convert, Weagles/Kennedy will make them pay.

ps what ever happened to chopping the arms rule? Stringer totally should have been paid a free for it.

Agree cards, should have been a free for chopping, however if Boyd's kick wasn't so poor, then it wouldn't have been an issue.

Danger for the Dogs that they may waste their early disposal dominance.

I know he's young, but Boyd is very ordinary. Already cost the Bulldogs two goals.

Cracking game so far, Dogs doing almost everything right. West Coast's only looked like scoring when the Dogs have turned it over, otherwise little fluency with their ball movement.

Those early misses from the Dogs could come back to haunt them though, should be 5 goals up already.

Well Kennedy did make them pay but fark me how much fun are the Dogs to watch?! Every single game they put in at a level 90% of teams can't match.

Will the injuries and lack of match fitness tell at the end of each qtr?

Weagles now missing.

Come on Dogs! Only team in the 8 I could stand seeing win it.

Boyd is useless...

No good at ground level but he's getting to an enormous number of contests and he's bringing the ball to ground - West Coast dominate on the back of intercept marks from players like McGovern and Barrass so he's actually making a significant contribution so far in the air.

Easton Wood off the ground getting assessed...huge. Lycett too but that's less of a loss for West Coast than Wood would be for the Dogs.

Fair Comment. I am being Harsh but they took a huge risk with him

Gosh dang, I forgot this was on.  Stupid shift work makes me lose all track of what day it is.  Missed the whole first quarter!

Umpires are having trouble getting involved but they will come home with  a wet sail.

I'd just go with stupid Thursday Night footy. Not a fan of it! Can't they just stick with Friday-Sunday football?

Luke Darcy commentating tonight is going to make it a very long night!

"And Dahlhaus... SNAPS A GOAL".

If he can get his confidence up Boyd will be a good player. For a supposed chit truck he should have 3 goals so far.

Come on doggies, best these flogs.

Early Mark Jamar-esque.

Jamar will always have one more AA then Boyd.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
