What i notice is the way other teams players treat his presence near and in the contest.....he just does not tolerate #hit !!

Hibberd has been superb every week since he came into the side. He is becoming an "elite" player very quickly.

We haven't had an elite player since Robbie Flower. I am still not 100% comfortable with having Drug Cheats at The MFC, but i am very impressed with the way "Pig" Hibberd plays the game.

He has September written all over him.

Melksham took a bit longer to settle, but he is fast becoming a most important cog.

His goal in the last Quarter was a Cracker to seal the game

This is also off the back of his article on Saturday about how the Bombers 'can beat anyone'.  Turn it up, Velvet.

Glad i didn't read that. I would have become violent!!

why is he allowed to write such garbage?

Similiar to his article on Hardwick a few weeks back, who is obviously a mate.

Hardwick is a good bloke, but hardly coach of the year!!

It's a shame, too, as I usually don't mind his stuff.  But he let his bias get in the way big time, which is evident in him having 4 Bombers in his 'AA' team.

Doesn't Lloyd just look so uncomfortable and awkward on camera? It almost makes me uncomfortable watching him speak.

He has that micro gap between each word. Awkward and uncomfortable is a perfect description

He forgets what the Swannettes did a few weeks ago... :)

Lloydy reminds me of a pin cushion that's had all the air and cushion and pins lost from it.......

I don't actually notice him that much in games compared to other players like Viney and Jetta, but he just goes about his game in a no nonsense, business like manner and gets the job done, week in, week out.

He did gain over 800m in the game. You should watch closer :)

Our defence was seen as a critical weakness that would prevent us going far in the finals or even making it.... Until Hibberd came in and made an impact and they all started to gel into a well oiled machine.

We are still short of a big bodied defender now that TMac plays fwd..

Hibberd will win the Bluey this season if he keeps up his form (IMO).

Absolute top class player and ultra consistent

I think he is more bias than Eddie.. he can be hard to watch if the bombers have had a win. And suggesting fantasia had had a better year than Garlett is just laughable

Put another way, we're currently short a big bodied forward without TMAC going forward.

Id like to see how we go on Ben Brown and Patton, Hipwood, McCArtin over the next month to reassess how our team defence handles a very tall forward now that they've found more sync.

Not much love for this guy that played his 100th game today.

Another great game and really put his body on the line in the last qtr (as did Oscar and Lewis).

The recruit of the year for mine and probably top 2 in the Bluey (altho he missed the first 4 games). I love having him at the Demons and he is one of the few players that i feel calm when the ball is in his hands. Very glad he chose the Demons.

So I am gonna assume he will be in the AA team.

We are on the verge of finals and he has been phenomenal.

If they put Howe or that Docherty bloke from 5 win Carltank in ahead of him the selectors should be hung.

The metres gained king and averaging 28 touches off half back combined with his immense courage....  surely will be AA.

Michael Hibberd: Missed the first four games due to an Achilles injury, but the former Bomber has been one of the competition's best defenders this season. Hibberd has been one of the recruits of the year, with the attacking defender averaging a career-high 28 disposals and ranking No.1 in the AFL for average metres gained per match (566.9m).

Two things i have noticed this year from Pig and Melksham. They both have a quality that i call the "PERSONAL" quality.

Several times this year when they have been shaded in the contest, in one on one, they both give  displays of REPEAT maximum personal effort, with no holds barred. They get up off the ground and go for it. No trainers, no pats on the back, just back into it. They are not the only ones in this side who do it, but i have noticed them make it personal........

This guy doesn't get enough credit.

To come back at 31 years old after everything he's gone through, and play the best footy with us since his AA year is an absolute credit to himself. I could easily see him going around again in 2022!

Yep.

Playing the Neville Jetta lock down role and doing it just fine. You talk about sacrificing your game well Hibberd's done that this year.

On form, he goes again next year.

he's playing a completely different role to the freeflowing running rebounder that he did in his all-oztrayan years for us

he's now very much a professional lockdown player and playing the role well

lock him in for 2022

Agreed. He is a lock in our best 22.  Another player having an excellent year.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
