Just now, Clint Bizkit said:

We need to handball to teammates more.

But only when they are outnumbered and under pressure.

10 minutes in

still 0.1-1 to 2.2.14

Gold Coast have started well and their structures are better.  We just need to tighten things up and use the ball better going forward.

Any chance we might get a message down from the coaching box today to stop over-possessing the ball?

Just laughable ffs! We look slow, lazy and can't hit a target to save ourselves. Wouldnt you hate to play in our fwd line?!

Get stuffed Matt Jones.  Under ZERO pressure he can't hit a target 30 metres away.

Is it round 19 or round 1 because this play looks like a team that hasn't played a game for a while.

Great kick Matt Jones.

matt jones can run quick, that's it, potato

0.2.2

3.2.20

This will be like the GWS game in 2014.

No urgency. Utterly pathetic.

Our mids non existent

Matt Jones is not an AFL player. Dawes all in his own and jones couldn't get it to him when he was 15 meters of space 30 meters from him. Turn over fing Gold Coast goal

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
