If you live in the northern suburbs and have nothing to do on Saturday, this one should appeal.

Only Lamumba and Mitch King unavailable... l can't remember in the last 10 years when our list was this injury free. Usually by round 19, we have about 15 injuries, 5-6 off for year end operations and Casey are left with 4-5 MFC listed players.

Irrespective of his quality, it would seem unlikely. According to Caro in today's Age, but there may not be any rookies in future

Hunt and Saad are the two to watch from Coburg.

Was really hoping to see Salem or Kennedy-Harris in the seniors this weekend, but I'm looking forward to Weideman bouncing back from a quiet couple of games.

I think Ryan has been invited to the draft camp so could add him to watch list.

Oh no, I notice the game is at Piranha Park. So Oliver is in real danger of being bitten in consecutive games/weeks.

Always though there was something fishy about Coburg.

I am at work again KC, penalty rates too good to ignore, looking forward to your reports, thanks in advance

From what I saw on Twitter, it sounds like Casey were kicking into a strong wind in the first quarter?
"Ferreira finds Hannon 35m out directly in front, but the wind holds it up and its pushed through for a behind."

Half time and it was all Casey and JKH in that quarter. James Munro who is a bit unlucky to be out of the Seniors is also burning it up. The Scorps lead by a handy 31 points after taking full advantage of the breeze and but for some inaccurate kicking for goal would have been much further ahead. Casey 6.11.47 to Coburg 2.4.16.

In the morning, there was hardly a breath of wind at the ground but it has strengthened since the game started and is now blowing to the Harding Street end.

If you get a chance I am interested in Vander Haar please. Things like is he loose and gangly like his old man used to be when he started. Marking and poise to note. Thanks

Three quarter time: Casey Scorpions lead 8.14.62 to Coburg 5.9.39

Scorps did well to hold Coburg out that quarter and look like going on with it in the final quarter.

Vander Haar is a handy player at this level but he's not in the same league as his old man. He's not as tall or imposing and given that his father's marking, even when he started was a feature, he's not at that level. This is not to denigrate him at all because Paul VDH was a champion of the comp for a long time.

The game is under way. It looks like Tom Bugg has been held back for Melbourne's game tomorrow.

Casey 1.1.7 to Coburg 0.0.0.

Michie got the first goal.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
