Kent is having a shocker.

[censored] OFF DEAN KENT YOU USELESS [censored]

This is awful. Playing like we did a couple years ago.

Edited by The Stewster

Skill errors but our zone again is easy to beat when they switch and play down the flank , or against a hard running overlap hawthorn will murder us .

Going to be tough from here now.

Second half will at least show how far we've come with our second half tank.

A side note; you think other clubs have a giggle at our special 'home' games?

This playing in NT madness must end

It seems to have not really started, today.

Really looking forward to half time and desperately hoping for a mental reset.

This quarter is making my skin crawl.

I'm not surprised at all, I tipped Port and went in to today's game with no expectations for a win.

Sure, but we wouldn't exactly call you optimistic.

Don't know why people are surprised, we are an 11th to 15th side.

Hogan looks angry today.

Kent out for Trengove

Gotta laugh at the ignorant posters blaming our backline. They are smashing us in the middle. Given the time the balls been in our backline, we are lucky they have only kicked 7 goals.

Poor delivery into forward line again this week and far too many tackles missed.

The Diamond Defense if anything highlights how poor our defensive stocks are. It's a system that demands accountability but Garland, Omac, Tmac all breakdown in this regard. Jetta the only one accountable.

It's a learning curve, and we're learning a lot.

At least Michie understood what was required.

Memo to Peter Jackson.....STOP playing our damn home games outside of Melbourne!!!!!! I am sick of watching of these games in Alice Springs and elsewhere . Get the games back at our ground.

Had a gutful of games in NT, especially our home games.

Kent is an absolute liability today. Killing us

Which means we should have a chance against other 11th to 15th teams. It's not like we're playing Sydney.

Get a right foot Kent.  Bloody embarrassment.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
