The Saints made three changes to their losing team. In hindsight, you can mount a good argument that their inclusions tipped the balance in their favour.

It's interesting WJ, but I think overall, most would have this year's selection policy as a huge win for the club. It's hard to crack the side, and hard to keep your spot. Nothing wrong with that. Roos rewards unheralded players with a game, and then sticks with them for at least two to make sure they have a decent chance. Expects more from senior players than from younger ones. And he's unwilling to change a winning side... those are all, really, the policies we want to see week in week out. What was it he used when he won the flag? 28 players or something?

Post Tigers, I assumed some good performers would be down against a fast Saints side, at the dome where they play a certain brand. I didn't think it would be Hunt or Wagner though. Personally I reckon he made the correct choices at the selection table going in, and you can't fault him for not having a crystal ball. His gameday execution? Yes. Fire away. But selection has been a strength.

I partially saw the ANB kick which concussed Brayshaw in the VFL goals package on the MFC website.

Does anyone know if it was a direct kick to the back of the head or was their a slight deflection from the smother, having it go into the head?

He played all but 15 minutes on the half back flank. Thought he was probably Casey's best. Very attacking but also saved at least 2 goals on the last line. Must admit one of these probably should have been a free to the bomber player but it wasn't paid. 

Straight kick into his bonce. Dropped like a stone. Lucky it wasn't CP5 kicking it because it would have taken his head off.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm.
