Where can you see what games they have picked?

If you go to the main tv guide and scroll across it will give you the games

The EssenDon 2014 and geelong 15 wins are on again later today

Unfortunately, the library of top quality recently produced winning MFC games on film is rather limited for obvious reasons.

That and the fact that a good number were thrown out with the data on the Essendon supplements programme and subsequently eaten by the dog.

On the credit side, I sense a new era coming on for the club and hopefully in a few years' time we'll be able to delight in some stunning victories from the current era.

Let's hope so. I agree there's slim pickings but even from those I think any of us could have chosen a far better list.

Also they have shown 87 finals matches before and 1998. Was really hoping to see something from 2000 as well.

Anyways you're right we need to look ahead, future starting to look at bit brighter.  (That 2013 match was sobering and showed we have come a long way in 3 years )

But they have shown other teams finals wins from the early 80's.

Man it was enjoyable to watch that Geelong win again. So many great games from our youngsters. Viney, Gawn, brayshaw especially. So hard at it

Can't wait for the season to start!

Watching the Freo game from 08..

Can't believe how horrible and bad our skills were back then. How Matthew Bate got to 100 games just shows how bad that era was.

Only Garland and Jones are still on our list from 2008.. sad reality.

I will do my best.

i would have liked that game against west coast i think it was 97 or 98 when we were injury depleted with no chance and an unknown robbo came out and kicked 4 i think it was.

Currently they are playing our win over Collingwood in '07 with Robbo kicking 7.  Love a good win over the filth.

I remember someone uploading the highlights of this with some ripping music to it years ago but, alas, it got taken down.

Watched most of the second half.  Great stuff!  We came back from 51 points down at half time to win by a goal -- our biggest ever come back from half time and the second biggest in the history of the game.  Ozzie's goal celebrations were classic!

And, Dennis Commetti's comment that, in the first half, Melb had been acting like a nervous African dictator -- taking a different route home on every occasion, was rather clever!

Now, Melb giving the old foe a bath on Queen's B'day in 2007.

Whetting the appetite for some classic wins in 2016...!

Geez the Bailey-era sides were packed full of some ordinary footballers. Many posters, myself included, perhaps started to look back at Bailey's reign as better than it was, given what came directly after during the Neeld years. Blokes like Bate, Miller, Morton, the list goes on.

In saying that, I know he had some obvious flaws, but Aaron Davey was a very good player. I would have him just above, or level with, TJ as the best kick we have had post 2000.

It's Robbo happy hour now on Fox footy!

The smile that came across Robbos dial as he hears the siren sound, ball in hand to kick his umpteenth goal was magic!

Watching the 2014 Ess game now........ Has me thinking a fit Kent this year will be enormous is our fast movement fwd, blokes a gun! Pedo is a better player than Dawes, presents and jumps and has strong hands! And Dom Tyson is a Gun.... Last year was 50% of Tyson, he will be like a recruit this year! So really 2016 new players could be Kent, Tyson, Petracca, Bugg, Kennedy, Oliver, Weed, Hullett, Trengrove, Frost (will be a gun) and could probably add Salem. That's exciting

Where did you find out what year they are. I can only see the round not the year.  I just rang Foxtel to ask if they would put the years of the games on the Guide. They said they will get on to it today.  Believe that when I see it. Agree with others comments about them being a disappointing choice of games. Also agree on needing some Robbie and '87 games.

While watching the game just hit the information button twice, that shows the year and the round. Simples.

Some games that they'll playing:

Geelong V Melbourne - rd 20 2005, Simonds Stadium (1 point win, broke the 17 year Kardina Park hoodoo.)

Geelong V Melbourne - rd 12 2015. Simmonds Stadium (best win in recent history)

Melbourne V Fremantle - rd 22 1997, MCG (not sure what was so special about that win. Just a random late season win in a dismal season)

Melbourne V Fremantle - rd 7, 2008. MCG (50 pt comeback)

Melbourne V Collingwood - rd 12 2010. MCG. The draw.

Richmond V Melbourne - rd 4 2015 MCG. (Inagural Anzac day eve win)

Essendon V Melbourne - rd 13 2014. MCG. (Salem kicks winning goal)

Melbourne V W Bulldogs - rd 14 2013. MCG.(one of our 2 wins for the season. Almost blew 7 goal lead)

Melbourne V Port - rd 9 2010. Darwin. ( 1 point win in our Darwin debut)

Sorry guys I was wrong on a couple of games.

The Collingwood game was not the 2010draw but the 2007 7 point queens bday win. I still reckon that draw over the premiers of that year was one of our best performances of our horror recent history.

The other I got wrong was the Richmond win. It was from 2009 not last year.

Just finished watching the Geelong game from last year on Fox. Just thought id make a few notes what I personally think of the future an beyond for some players.

For starters I thought this game was a glimpse into the future on how we are going to play a physical and aggressive nature in the coming years. Blokes like Gawn Brayshaw Viney Jones led the way with this.

Brayshaw: Will be a star this kid, I have no doubt that with another pre season under his belt we will see him grow in confidence and by the end of the year he will be a starting on baller. Is a brute around the contests and did not shirk a contest at all.

Viney: A star and completely owned that [censored] Selwood. A beast around the stoppages who will explode this year. Future leader and has some serious angry pills going on

Gawn: Will be known as the game that saved Gawns career. What he showed was seriously mouth watering and from all training reports and the big rev up by Roosy I have no doubt he will be in AA calculations barring injury.

Stretch: Goes about his business quietly but has a lot of class and poise. Don't think I have ever seen him waste a disposal and against the cats he just showed so much maturity and calmness. I rate this kid highly due to his willingness to spread hard an use his running ability.

Dawes: I'm such a hard critic of this bloke but he was very good. He hustles and bustles through contests and showed good leadership. Problem with him is that he doesn't take enough marks of kick goals.

Neal Bullen: Little terrier who will be a good in and under midfielder/half forward. An interesting player who I draw comparisons to Rory Sloane due to his competitive streak and toughness. Will be one to watch in 2016

Vince: Star

Tyson: One of his better games with his clearance ability and class. A bigger and fitter Tyson in 2016 will be exciting to watch.

This game we were also without Hogan Salem Vandenberg Garland Kent Frost Trengove. Add Petracca Oliver Bugg Kennedy Harmes who all have aggressive and competitiveness traits in them and we are going to really push sides this year in the top end.

One of the best parts of that game was after the final siren - camera switches to coaches box and Roosy, with phone still held to his ear, let's out the ever so subtlest of little smirks/grins for a split second. I love it!

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
