    No you have completely missed what i said which im not surprise.

    I dont care if i juries are short term. I do NOT want to lose our best and borderline All Australian defender for a couple of weeks because his teammate thought he would be a hero and tackle him head first during a training drill. I am all for tackling and competitive juices on the training track but not trying to kill each other for "short term injuries" to improve a culture thats already on the up.

    Stop livinging the 80s 'luded' footy has change and if a Tommy Mac goes down then we potentially in deep trouble.

    your still looking at the short-term of a handful of games (to win)... in your mind.

    .... as against adopting a new attitude of aggression into our culture for the good of long term.  you seem to be one of the people who think aggression only needs to be displayed by one or two players,,,   instead of across the whole list,   that every player has to share the responsibility of being aggressive at the ball,  & at the opposition.

    Since when does 'every player' has to be aggressive at the ball? Gunston, Hill brothers, Smith, Sidebottom are just a few player are outstanding outside players but not hard and aggressive at all.

    We recruited the likes of Oliver Brayshaw Vandenberg Petracca Viney Salem to build the foundation and hard culture which is already showing. They do their best work on gamedays. This culture will grow as these guys mature.

    Im sorry but McDonald is someone we cannot afford to lose.

    Yes, more likely to happen if everyone's hammer and tongs at it, but no matter what you do, you will cop some injuries at training.

    Rather it be when the boys are going at it hammer and tongs. Let's see them make hammer and tongs a normal practice. I don't want their first time to be when they're getting ready to go up against Hawthorn or Freo.

    I think Tommy's attitude is more revealing than JV's. "Hey man, what are you doing???" (said in slightly hysterical tones) Everyone knows JV is hard at it. Let them all be hard at it, all the time. Not in terms of throwing themselves at the ball like madmen, but in terms of being determined and unforgiving to the opposition.

    However, while I'm no physio or doctor, I would think that there is more stress placed on the left foot when kicking with the right. The left bears all the weight and is being flexed, the right remains straight......so maybe the foot is actually quite strong....

I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

      When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

      The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
      Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.
