Watched some more vision of James Parsons from the champs and wasn't really impressed, would prefer Tahana if we wanted to add more pace.

His Eastern teammate Liam Jeffs is another who could be picked up tomorrow, unfortunately reminds me a bit of Jordan Gysberts as the tall midfielder with good inside skills. Ran a 2.89s 20m sprint at the combine which did shock me as he didn't look that fast on the field but has had injury issues this year. At 192cm and that quick he maybe worth a punt.

Agree re: Tahana, have decided he's the one I want today. Another super competitive player with good pace and skills, and we need another small to medium defender coming through.

Would it be worth taking the risk on A Morabito - Fremantle have committed to redrafting him, so they must have confidence in his ability to get on the park. If fit he would easily fill our need for outside run on the wing; and would be in the right age bracket.

Just a question: Could Fremantle be promising to redraft him because he's still contracted to them and therefore they are obliged to rather than any confidence they might have in his ability to get back?

jake lovett?

I hope so. His father wasn't a star as a young player but went on to forge a great career.

JOSH WAGNER
Aspley, 21, 189cm, 80kg

The older brother of Queensland under-18 player and draft hopeful Corey, Wagner could also find himself attracting AFL interest after an excellent season in the NEAFL. Having always had the skill, the 21-year-old matched it with workrate in 2015 to have greater influence coming off half-back. He's a poised left-footer who racked up big numbers and was a major reason behind Aspley's surge to the NEAFL Grand Final.

As expected, Viv Michie has also been re-rookied by the club.

Classy left footer. What's not to like.

Anyone notice a pattern? Are we channeling hawthorn?

Aspley just had their second player picked up in this draft by Richmond, pretty impressive outcome for their system

From Knightmare:

44. Josh Wagner (QLD – DEF)
Height: 189cm, Weight: 80kg, DOB: 24/06/1994
Recruited from: Aspley
Reminds me of: Adam Oxley
Brief bio: Wagner is a skilful left footer who plays off a back flank in the NEAFL and has had a strong season as one of the more damaging players in the competition. He is a fairly natural fit into an AFL club off a back flank as someone who has the vision, decision making and footskills combination to allow him to set up some meaningful play by foot from the back half. His production has been strong this season and could be an immediate fit into the back half for a team. Athletically Wagner is below average with his endurance good allowing him to cover the ground fine but his acceleration is poor so he is not a someone who will breakaway or provide meaningful linebreaking as someone who will do his damage more by foot.

We also only changed our minds on Oliver to Parish on Monday night aswell

On Parish to Oliver I daresay you mean...

That's interesting if not a little disconcerting that they would decide so late.......I guess Parish raised some of the same questions with the recruiters that have been raised here. Lightly framed versus big body ready to go.
