Adam Treloar

Games: 76

Age: 22

Height: 182

Weight: 84kg

A little bit astonished that a thread hasn't been started on this extremely talented kid. Dangerfield aside, this kid should be the No. 1 target and will be sought after from multiple clubs looking to add a quality and potential star midfielder. Collingwood have been all the talk lately for a trade back to his Victorian state but we should be able to satisfy GWS in trade options through superior picks, will just be a matter of convincing Treloar that the Dees are a viable option both financially and finals wise.

Ranked 30 overall in the AFL player ratings (however they work), he compares very favourably to Demonlands regular hypothetical trade jizz inducer Dylan Shiel (ranked 70).

He averages more disposals (27.4 v 26.1), tackles (5.4 v 3.9), marks (3.7 v 2.7), uncontested possessions (17.4 v 16). Wins the same amount of contested ball (10 each), and disposal effeciency is about par (74.5 v 75.1%).

Kid is a gun and would certainly fit our desire for an A grade midfielder, I hope we go hard for him.

I don't know why players are keen to join the filth. They are treading water and other clubs will be on the up quicker than them.

Have a look at the age of the club and the top round picks that are ready to come in next year for them. I feel they are a key position player short but if they nab Trelor and can temp Danger - they'll be top 4 next year.

Added to that, managers love linking their clients to Collingwood, apparently just a mention of the "wealthiest" may raise the value or asking price. At least thats on theory, no clue if it holds any merit... >.<

Who are the other clubs that could potentially rise quicker? Essendon? Carlton? Brisbane? St Kilda?

Mate they have an exciting young list and are a attractive option for players. They will be rising fast next year and will play finals next year.

Up there with the doggies as the next powerhouse side.

They have rebuilded just perfectly and picked up some exciting young players.

Pies/Doggies next powerhouse sides? Do you mean like Port this time last year? A lot has to go right, and as we've seen it can quite easily turn to shite in the blink of an eye.

WB are the youngest side in the comp and already top 4 just about..

They will only go up from here.

Would love to land Treloar but there's been no link to us publicly. If he is leaving GWS and coming home to Victoria then I'd hope the club has spoken to him and given him a good offer. He's a quality young midfielder who would slot into our team perfectly. He's in a good age bracket for us too, 22 years old and closing in on 100 games. He'd be at his peak in 3-4 years when hopefully we will be up the top end of the ladder challenging.

Dazzle, no doubt Doggies are a exciting/skilful/ attacking side that have a bright future ahead of them. Plus Libba was injured all year. All I'm saying is anything can happen.

The only linking of Buddy to Sydney publicly was an old lady that rang KB and called it months out. I remember the day she rang him back after the fact. What's not to say Prestia has been our smokescreen.

Money. And the filth will rise quicker than many other teams.

Tomlinson hasn't signed with GWS. Any chance of getting him?

Another player linked to Collingwood LOL

Happens every year and they never end up there

I know what you mean, crazy isn't it?

I mean forgetting...

Jolly, Brown, Ball, Krakouer, Lynch, Adams, White, Young, Hudson, Greenwood, Varcoe, Armstrong, Karnezis and Crisp...

Would love him.

Perfect age bracket and another pillar to build the team around.

Hogan and Tomlinson at FF and CHF.

Would be healthy competition for Dawes too.

I thought he re-signed last year.

Would love to get him though...

I'll never forget finding out that Woewy was off to Collingwood.

I hated them enough as it was. But this was next level hate.

To go to the footy as a kid, sit MCC, watch Woewy kick those running goals from fifty and turn to us/(me) with both arms waving is something I'll never forget.

I thought I'd read that because of salary cap problems that a few hadn't had contracts extended.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Couldn't agree less. Have done a substantial rebuild yet nobody has realized. Have a gun coach. Why wouldn't you want to join them.

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best.
