I'm honestly surprised no one being a player or father of a player hasn't knocked him out yet.

Give it time.

DAMMIT!

I was hoping he would've dragged thier faces through the mud for at least another year.

#standbyhird.... lol please

Maybe I'm just vindictive, but I quite enjoyed hurling abuse at Hird through my telly this year. Who will I vent my MFCSS angst at now?!

You don't honestly believe that.

No I do not, it obviously wasn't Hird who ushered Little into the meeting room the other night.

James Hird has to now be considered the worst coach in the history of the game, and by a long way. Performance-wise Neeld was worse, but he didn't oversee a peptide program nor did we pay him millions of dollars to drive the club into the ground.

Good riddance.

200%2B(3).gif As the news spreads a somber tone envelopes the city, is this another of Caro's false dawns? No its true!!!

That Hird resigned is a rumour that Robbo started...sort of face saving for his 'mate'.

The flaw in that is if Hird had resigned there would have been no 'negotiated settlement'...he would have got zip!

But Robbo isn't smart enough to see the flaw!

Make no mistake he did not jump, he was pushed!

Robbo is now probably worried he won't get any more leaks!!

Essendon paid Matthew Knights not to coach in 2011 and 2012 (sacked with 2 years contract left).

Paid Hird not to coach in 2014 while suspended.

Will pay Hird not to coach in 2016.

Probably $2-3 million spent on coaches who didn't coach!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
