GAME DAY - Round 14

Featured Replies

We are playing in Red and Blue tonight.

They will be using a Sherrin.

Will pass on more news as it comes.

And that was that one time Biffen commented on anything vaguely related to football...

I didn't think I could get enthused about tonight after recent events but now I've got a good feeling that we might get up.

Ha ha - I just put $20.00 on Melbourne to win by 40+. Paying $31.

Good man Bitters I put a lousy $ 10 spot, on the nose Dees to win ( gambling responsibly you know!)

A very poor riposte Stu! You're not showing any form at all really.

You been checking out the porn tonight picket? Don't worry I wont tell Mrs. Picket. (I'm sure you are always responsible)

:blink::blink::blink:

i've put $$$$$$ on the Dees, i don't often do that but when i do we always lose. ALWAYS. Sorry for ruining the game.

I have too which is also rare. but $5.25 seemed a bit over the odds! bernie vince $6 most touches was also a bit rude to go past

Shut down Kennedy, Lecras, Priddas and Nic Nat and we go a long way towards a win

Wow thanks for that

if this is one of those games where we have a 30 point lead, but then concede 15 goals in a row (like GWS and Port) - I'll never post on Demonland again.

if all the poeple who said that actually followed through demonland would be a very quiet place.

Go you Mighty Dees

Not really, just be little lighter on for [censored] around here.

Now, my prediction, Watts to dominate the taps as 3rd man up & get bog while Gawn keeps NicNat busy in a headlock all game! Ha!!

I put on $20 that says you were wrong.

I'm not wearing my scarf while watching at home tonight.

I didn't wear it for the Geelong game and look what happened.

No need to thank me, lads.

My remote control has just been commandeered by the women who are threatening to watch the tennis.F**k.

Get a divorce.

Or wait an hour and possibly thank them.

No, never thank them, tennis is crud.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
