Aish for Dawes, they need a forward target. Dawes is a target, not a very good one but they may struggle to get anyone else.

Prestia for pick and Grimes.

This isn't the 90's and Brisbane aren't Fremantle.

Sure, if we can get away with it. Aish is a footballers footballer.

I'd be really happy if Aish was our second target midfielder.

Wouldn't be as happy if he was our first target, ahead of the likes of Prestia or Coniglio or Sloane.

Is it too greedy to want Aish AND Prestia?? Or do we not have enough to give to get both?

I want both too. I don't think it's too greedy at all. Aish is struggling to cement his place at Brisbane. He shouldn't be our first target. We need to go hard for A graders/cusp of A grade at the end of this year. Prestia and Coniglio are the go for mine too.

As you note, it's all about whether we have enough to get them both.

Money of trade value?

Definitely trade value. For each, we'd need a high pick and a very very good player, or at the very least a good player who meets a desperate need.

Do GCS or Brisbane need a versatile reliable defender, a specie merchant or a tall forward with iron hands???

We do not look at EFC players.

Das ist verbotten !!

Heffernan, Moorcroft :-((((

So you wouod have passed on Judd as well...hmmm ^_^

Certainly pass on him now.

Certainly pass on him now.

I passed on him about 5 or 6 years back, when he was doing his accounting literature tour. we couldn't afford him then, & we d=certainly don't want him now.

I would have passed on him, if i happened to pass him by on the street, as well... well maybe not, but you get my gist ;)

Would anyone consider Brendon Mateara? I have always rated him and i just feel that with Kent going down we have really missed the zip and explosiveness that he provides. Kicked 27 goals in 2013 so atleast we know he can kick goals.

Not really. Decent finisher, but doesn't provide anything else. Think he only has eyes on the goals as well so unless he kicks it, all you're getting is a turnover.

Gone... m jones, terlich, mckenzie, fitzpatrick, bail & hunt (not developed).

retire... jamar

Thats 7 spots.

draft 4 (Harley Balic),22 (Sam Weideman),38 (Blake Hardwick),trade in Dean Towers (Sydney for pick 56), free agent Leuenberger and rookie upgrade for Harmes and Vandenburg. King stays for yr3 as interstate rookie.

We should approach Zaha with a nice offer, surely he can be enticed out of that moral [censored] hole that is the drugs

Gifted but bad attitude

Well someone should have been held accountable for not picking up Oxley as it cost us the game. Roos said the players didn't follow instructions so it seems he has been let off IF he was the spare but that's irrelevant as to wether we should target Aish or not.

You keep getting gazumped you idiot. Just stfu now.

Along with Bennell, apparently one of the GCS players for whom football gets in the way of having a good time.

Same could've been said about Garlett.

Could be but Garlett's attitude doesn't affect his training and getting his body prepared

Posted

I don't think there are any issues with Garlett's attitude. I may be wrong but the only thing I remember him being involved in off field is the recent indecent where he was the one who was attacked, he seems pretty committed to his family.

Iv been saying we should trade Watts for years but last week seeing him play changed the way I think about him.

I think he is the biggest game changer our team has. Some of the things he did last week to turn the swing of the game were amazing, no one else in our team has that IQ and talent.

No one else in our team can swing a game around like Watts can when he is on

As to those paying out on Dawes I think it's a bit harsh, the guy works hard and definitely gave us something when we wernt doing too well under the Neeld regime.

That said I think he does have value and now would be a good time to see if we could get anything back for him in a younger player which fits our age demographic better.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
