Sinking ship.

Rats always abandon first.

Not sure about that, if directors go down ("if") then Little may go down as he was a director at the time of the Black Ops wasn't he?

Here is hoping Little doesn't sink his next venture, ferry from Portarlington to docklands.

AFL charge sheet

Fascinating document

surprisingly detailed and not leaving some of the players ( by which I mean the big guns in admin, not the ones wearing footy boots necessarily) looking too flash

Thanks for the link

Jobe to keep Brownlow if guilty.

How to remove all credibility before youve started...

Wow. There is nothing that will drag these bloody fools into the real world.

This was a team failing, so I think it's important that he is welcomed back and remains a key member of the Essendon family.

Nope.

If it was indeed a "team failing", then the other members of that "team", need to be booted also, numbnuts.

You of all people know exactly how much I despise this crooked mob, and their feral, idiot supporters, who cant even pronounce the name of their own team correctly.

"The whole drama was the club's fault, not that of any individual player," he said.

Actually, I must give him credit for seeing this the way it is. I agree its the clubs fault. Now, ban the whole club. So easy.

He was a good bloke, except when anything essedon was involved.

Rohan Connolly is an EFC/Hird fan-boy apologist.  Not at the same nauseating levels as Robbo but one nonetheless.  If Caro had been in that Fairfax interview I wonder what her version would read like...same 'facts', different narrative I would think.

Jobe retaining his brownlow is the same wishful thinking they have been deluded by all along: players did nothing wrong so minimal if any punishment is their mantra.  "The whole drama was the club's fault, not that of any individual player," Tanner says.  That is a nice side-step of the WADA rules of players being responsible for what they 'take' which is what this whole CAS case is about!  Thankfully, the results are out of his control!

As for Hird going back, that has to be a Santa type appetiser to keep the fans on-side and keep them buying memberships.

All thru this CAS thing I've thought the players would be found guilty but get diluted penalties.  But, I really hope they get the book thrown at them!!

The whole point is one ( or the many ) should not profit or benefit by cheating.

If Jobe is found to have cheated. He loses the medal. It's not hard to understand, unless you're Essendon of course.

Interesting who Essendon attracts......say no more

Wouldn't it be better if the players get off lightly and the club gets eviscerated?

Especially if  "The whole drama was the club's fault, not that of any individual player," as Tanner says.

The players must assume some (share) the fault as they are both ultimately the benefactors as well as deciders of such a program. Not all went along with it.

A major element of the Wada stance is individuals must take responsibility. It doesn't matter as to the circumstances or environment they find themselves in they CAN say no.

That notion has a familiar ring to it

bb, I don't understand you. Given all your strident criticism of Essendon over this issue, why do you say "the farce continues" if the President you distrust is leaving and that the former Chief Commissioner of Police (Ken Lay) is joining the Board? How are both those Board moves part of "the farce"? Surely they are both positive steps.

Apparently their new Chairman says that if found guilty, Jobe Watson should be allowed to keep his Brownlow medal.

They might as well give Rolf Harris back his OA and CBE too.

There is method in Tanners comments. He is a shrewd political operator. However, have to think a misguided purpose.

Oh he's shrewd alright. Ken Lay is no mug either... though he's got his fair share of hair-brain thinkings also.. Both well suited to the closeted think-group that is Essendon.

This again is all just calculated propaganda. Trying to set the tone for public acceptances etc. Essendon again wanting to move th goalposts to suit their rhetoric.

They still see themselves as victims. They still won't really take any responsibility for their actions. They still want to weasel their way out of due sanctions and penalties.

They are a cancer on this sport.

Thinking about it, fair call.

I think it behoves any board to seek the best outcome for the body corporate it represents.  Ambit claims included.

They're still pushing the same barrow for mine Iv'a.

They ought to be rebuilding the club on more honourable and acceptable principles.   But it's same ol' same ol'....different tram driver . that's all
