If he kicks anothe bag of 5 he will be hard to beat ( I think he has got it anyway!) but if he gets 6-8 in a game he is a certainty.

Vince to beat Cripps in two weeks could help too.

Can see him kicking a large bag against the Blues.

Tbh I think it would prob be against GWS.

Either would be nice and both are light on in terms of key defence. A bag in both matches would be even better!

At the half way point, I had Cripps, Hogan, Brayshaw in that order, but relatively close.

Since then Cripps has been a little quieter (except for last week), Hogan has gone from strength to strength, while Brayshaw has dropped out of the conversation.

I know it's unlikely, but I'd love him to get those 14 goals to hit 50 for the season. A bag of 6 will give him a real shot.

It would be a phenomenal achievement.

.

More inside 50's would do wonders for his chances. As a team, we've shown we can convert off the lesser entries compared to our opposition.

Hopefully the higher scoring theme continues in the run home.

Every week he seems to raise the bar of his abilities. 4 weeks left in his first season on playing on AFL defenders, what more can he achieve?

He will hopefully kick at least 7 against carlton, hopefully that'll end the discussion over him and Cripps

I really want him to finish the season as the no.1 contested mark in the competition.

That would also be an <insert your own superlative> achievement.

Trailing Hawkins by 2 so still in with a chance.

With the way we deliver the ball into the 50 he has a very, very good chance.

Brayshaw wont come top 5. Saad, Miller and Sheed have all been better

When Hoges comes out of contract i'm terrified a dodgy Carlton supporting millionaire will have arranged an undercover offer impossible to refuse .

so i didnt read through this whole thread but with big Maxy Gawn signing today i just had to ask

Does anyone have any knowledge on what the current situation is with Hoges? Like as in are talks already starting, does he have an offer in front of him etc? We would be crazy to have not at least approached him about it.

He signed a new deal earlier in the season tying him to the club until the end of 2017. They'll probably talk again at some stage next season to try and extend him, but I doubt negotiations are happening at the moment.

Yeah i suppose but you would think if he wanted a godfather type deal like the media keeps rambling on about we would give it to him.

If it were up to me he'd have as much money as he wanted for as long as he wanted, as well as my first born.

He is at the club for the next 48 games guaranteed - there is no rush. The next deal can be the huge one.

Yeah me too, but I do worry about these new big deals.... look at Franklin. Since he was on the real big money whats he done?? Then again theres no other option I guess.

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
