I once predicted the fall of the Roman Empire. Seriously, I have no information other than what my snout gave me. That's all.

You might be on to something considering what Damian Barrett just wrote about us in his Sliding Doors column.

Dland : "So Paul....goss going around suggests the Dees will surprise all by landing a big fish this trade"

:roos: " Well, ,we're looking to be active during the period and you know you can never tell often until at such time as you might find a deal comes across the desk but we'll just wait and we're certainly looking into being amongst it" :roos:

To be clear I have zero information. But hers my guess for the big fish.

Kennedy from the swans

Kennedy from the swans

Is he a free agent? Hes a great player but its not wise giving up pick 6 for a bloke who will be 28 before next season ends

Just speculating pick 6 is what the Swans would demand for him

Kennedy from the swans

just a question though

Swans are haemorrhaging experience at the moment. Would they let Kennedy go now ? Would seem odd...to me

not a free agent

Does it matter these days if a player is a free agent or indeed off contract?

Damn you!

You've now forced me to actually go and read some of his trash journalism.

I feeling a little violated.

Ed; so other don't have to:

Melbourne

(If) there's a team we feel is keeping its cards close to its chest as trade period looms ... ... (Then) it is this one. Predicting a massive play from left-field.

And since this year was his second year he had second year blues so next year I'm expecting him to kick 107 goals whilst claiming the Coleman, wins the Brownlow, norm smith and kick a lazy 9 in the GF.

Apparently Hogan and Club in preliminary discussions about a long term contract.

Gist of which suggests..." you want to stay....money isn't an issue "

Bodes well :)

Good work dees get in early. We should to get him locked away for the next 7-8 years soon.

He is the game changer. Pay him whatever.

I got dragged off to the Grand Final parade by my Hawk supporting in laws today. I decided to wear my MFC cap and shirt in defiance and it paid off. Jesse Hogan was in the back of one of the first few cars as the Rising Star and stopped briefly next to me frantically waving and although he was talking to a child next to him in the car, he did a double take when he noticed the colours and gave me a wink and a thumbs up! The next car was a let down with only Clarko and Hodge on board and I lost interest from there.

well done earl. you could have given that ex-dee clarko a wave though (without it looking like one for hodge)

but according to danny boy you were supposed to be at home enjoying quality relaxing time with family

i suppose in-laws roughly count as family though

I hear we should have an answer soon on Jesse's long term contract. Fingers crossed.

Whats it leaning towards?

A few of the MFC boys should be around the G tomorrow. At least Hoges, Viney and Gussy.

Reckon Hoges would be a riot after sinking froths at the bar for a few hours.

I hope he's accepted 7 years at 300k because he wants to save salary cap room for guns to kick it down his throat.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
