A big bodied mid......just the thing Roos likes . Knows where the sticks are also.,.. a handy thing :)

A little left field perhaps. Knows what is needed to be done at AFL level

Maybe I have the wrong Panos as a junior?

hes 6-2 in the old language.... ( just like me shucks ) was a fwd...now a mid....Still learning the craft but hey.. He played very well this year... Knows how to tackle too apparently :rolleyes:

He was a big bodied forward, they've turned him into a mid.

I don't like these undersized tall's being turned into mids, Bate and McNamara are prime examples.

It might work in the twos but not at AFL level.

Panos Height: 191cm Weight: 90kg

Another current AFL mid ..can play apparently ^_^Height: 1.91 m, Weight: 91 kg

just saying :) We need a stack of mids btw !! Hes not an answer......might be a cog in a solution though . Who knows.. Apparently MFC has had a look ..

I'd be willing to give a rookie spot for him. He certainly fits as a mid who can kick goals. The article mentions a number of clubs are looking at him, so I guess it's a matter of what they are willing to pay to get him. Also quite interesting that they keep referring to him as 6'2" at 191cm. I'd have called that 6'3" and a bit, but then I actually know what an inch is in cm.

Definitely 6' 3", as I'm 188cm and 6' 2". Nice height, nice weight but never heard of him!!!

He was the U18 AA Full Forward a few years ago, rookied by the Bulldogs as he's a bit small to be an AFL key forward and never really took to it. My impression of him was that he was a lead-mark-goal player who didn't really have many other tricks. I'm surprised that he's managed to make the transition to a midfielder given that assessment. I just didn't think he'd have the agility or mental speed to be effective in that situation. I'd be very happy to be proven wrong.

He was a forward in the U-18's... a player I liked at the time, got howled down. an out of fashion type. solid allround player

i thought he was a honest player. would be interested to here what he's been doing.

got rookied by the Dogs, but didn't cut the mustard, which says something given their lack of KPPs. Played at Norwood for two seasons, and moved into the middle this year where he had a very good season as an inside mid, after playing at full forward last season...

would be definitely worth looking at, and would provide flexibility as a forward option as well as a mid. Pace is the question with him I believe.

thought he was a good type. played very strongly in U-18's but don't think he was blessed for speed as a key tall, or anything special, except he was a cool smart operator. mature looking type from memory.

it would not surprise that he may go well in the middle of the packs.

Sounds like a Tom Rockliff style transformation. The lack of fitness and pace is a concern but if he runs enough to be defensive then there are other ways for him to get the ball with his height. Norwood seem a really smart and creative club.

I today somehow imagine him to possibly be like a Luke Dunstan, rebounding off the half backline & inside the contests.

No one on here could believe it when he didn't get picked in the National Draft. Turned out to be the right decision. Bit NQR. Not many tricks and lacks a yard. That's not to say he can't make it. Spud Firito was in a similar boat.

Doesn't mean it was the right decision at all. square pegs & all. not sure if he was given proper opportunities off the back half ? Or thru the guts.

he may not be suited to playing key tall up forward.
