Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]

It's nearly lunchtime and we haven't even gotten the freakin Lamumba deal done.

That's because the Pies are universally accepted as being just behind the Bombers in being absolutely impossible to deal with.

Buckley in the middle of trade week goes to Bali and forces Varcoe and Greenwood to go there to talk to him. They have taken days to decide on Crisp. They obviously haven't got any pens at the Lexus centre to sign documents.

Red, in reality a, b and c need not be mutually exclusive !!

He might well know the typical questions he will be asked, he s most likely quick of mind and he needn't lie to answer in that fashion. As noted elsewhere if 2 AND 3 arent being used together then his answers are all bone fide :)

Except that I think Ralphy said to Hungry, that he asked him point blank, are you interested or trading for Kennedy and he said no.

Seems like the Deams thing is finally being sorted out in the next 15-20 min. Hopefully this is the damn trade that needed to be sorted out for the Clark, Lumumba trades to progress.

Ralphy SAID that he asked him point blank, but who really knows.

Let's just let this rumour run until 2:01 tomorrow... having fun with the dreams.

What does "apos" mean on twitter, I keep seeing it and don't know what it means?

can you use it in context Redleg?

I thought it was supposed to mean 'A piece of sh*t' or 'Annoying piece of 'Sh*t' but I'd need to see in context

They've been saying that for like 3 days. Collingwood would just LOVE doing this. Involving 5 other clubs in one trade and being the ones responsible for getting it through or not. MFC and Geelong both wanted to do our own part of the deal separately to avoid this mess, and Colonwood specifically told us not to.

Egotistical maniacs.

Until they get their midfield together at the start of the pre-season and realised they're screwed without Beams

I know... Trade Radio said a meeting of all players in that trade including the MFC are meeting at AFL house @ 11:30... so hopefully something more than the crap they have been saying for 3 days

Beams, Lamumba, Maxwell, McCaffer all out next year, and Swan on his last legs.

Should be an interesting year for the Pies.

all 5 teams meeting at 11 30 at AFL house to complete the 5 way trade

Hope we snag a late pick on top of Lumumba to use on Frost

agree... I'd like to think that we have spent some of the time wasted by the pies in this trade trying to squeeze more for Clark out of Geelong... Not confident though.

Unlikely, Balme said last night that we agreed to terms with Geelong last week, so it's essentially always been Clark for their second rounder. The only change that happened when it went to a 3 way trade was Geelong offering Colonwood Varcoe instead of a second rounder.

If they coughed up their third rounder as well and we got the Frost trade across the line today I'd be ecstatic.

How about this.

MFC give up 2 & 3 and receive JPK & Mitchell & 39

Then send Pick 39 to GWs for Frost

Then the Harry O, Varco, Clark deal gets done between the 3 clubs

MFC

In - JPK, Mitchell, Frost & Harry O

Out - 2 & 3

I dont love it, but if MFC want some quality players this is a option.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
