If the Roos name can't increase memberships no other name will.

The only thing that will increase memberships is winning!

Sad for your friends that feel embarrassed.

disagree, many people aren't that superficial.

IMO it's not really Roosy that sells memberships, but the actions that happen under Roosy's watch, that drives hope, & then the memberships flow on that hopes tailcoats.

waiting to see this years actions in place now.

You have no morals at all Biffen.; We have learnt (to our disadvantage) that parties at the Gat are about missing credit cards, photographs, sexually transmitted diseases and shonky tradesmen.

Rumour saying he toured mfc with mebourne officials today

Well he was in Melbourne. How close is Channel 9?

Ok just saw the page.

First of all you do realize that page is run by a 15 year old melbourne supporter who does nothing but cause trouble on his page just to get a reaction out of supporters.

Its not a rumour its a fake and complete [censored].

I protest, I'm older than that!

Just watched Dangerfield on the AFL footy show.

He is clearly llivid by Sanderson's sacking but spoke very firmly about staying united at the Crows.

By the way he spoke and the way he spoke about his love for Adelaide I don't think we'll be able to draw him over this year.

I hope I'm wrong but I am certainly not getting excited about it any more.

Watch the interview, then judge.

It was the strongest stance I have seen from a player in the long time.

Dangerfield is 110% not going anywhere.

Wrong to both you guys above. His answers were completely political, constructed by others and not really answering the questions just giving the same old tripe that all players roll out week after week. I am conVINCEd he won't be there next year. Just hoping the info received is true that he is Dee bound.

Ffs can we stop posting rumours that are from Facebook absolute pointless waste of time.

Exactly. Spot on.

I read a post on Facebook that said the same thing about Demonland...

Now I'm just confused, who do i believe?!

Watched the interview (gotta love staying up until midnight to see the AFL footy show in Sydney) and found it hard to gauge what was true, what was scripted, and what was blatantly untrue.

His claim about not speaking with any other coaches or clubs seemed a blatant lie. His repetitive line about being a "performance based industry" seemed scripted (especially when you consider the pressure on Adelaide after the success of Port), and his seething denial about the players calling the shots (despite smiling throughout the show every time someone brought it up) seemed like saving face.

Probably a coincidence that Vince was on the show too, and Goodwin happened to be announced the same day Danger was in Melbourne? If nothing else you'd love to have been a fly on the wall in the greenroom before the show to see what the two boys talked about.

Forget dangerfield, we should throw pick 2 and Toumpas at Port for Ollie

Greater chance of us winning the premiership the next 5 years running.

Exactly - the moment I see 'Facebook' as part of the rumour it's automatically BS. Why others don't get that is beyond me.

It depends what the rumour is. You can't blame MFC supporters for wanting to believe Dangerfield toured our facilities. :D

I didn't see the interview, but you could pretty easily quash these rumours by stating categorically that you're not going anywhere. By the sound of things, he didn't, which says to me the door is still very much open.

He is still contracted for 2015.

We expect too much from these players, Dangerfield still has a year to run on his contract.

Dangerfield won't be in a hurry to make up his mind, he is getting paid regardless - and probably maximise earnings waiting for free agency.

So realistically, Dangerfield probably hasn't even thought much about it. Adelaide would be the ones rushing him to commit.

I suspect that Sanderson wanted a solid committment from Dangerfield this year, and when he didn't get one he considered floating Dangerfield for trade.

This obviously didn't go down too well with Patty. That is my take on it.

Why on earth would Hinkley fall for that? So as he can on-trade pick 2 to WCE for Cale Morton?

I've been a Dangerfield sceptic from the start and based on what I've seen and heard from and about him in the last 24 hours, I would say that anyone who thinks there's any truth in the story that he's coming to Melbourne next year is dreaming.

Come on WJ let us have our fun

I am dreaming, WJ. Why are you crushing my dreams?

Amazing the difference 2 years makes!

After last night I can see why we would be interested in Dangerfield. Intelligent, articulate and a strong character. Has leadership written all over him.

That's why I can't see him leaving, at least not this year. And good on him for it.

Forget dangerfield, we should throw pick 2 and Toumpas at Port for Ollie

Mods - for the sake of most threads, can you please create a "trading" thread where Olisik is the only one allowed to post, with the condition that they (Olisik) are not allowed to post their trade ideas in any other thread?

Hilarious, such a funny guy

He could easily have said I'm not leaving Adelaide, but he didn't, left the door wide open, I love this city, love playing for this club, ....... But.

I don't think he will leave this year. I think like most others he will wait til he's a free agent and then select the club of his choice. You don't become as good as danger is without being extremely competitive, and fierce competitors don't like losing, so why would he risk being traded to a club like melbourne. He will wait until the end of next year and go to one of the big clubs. I'm a massive mfc and danger fan, but he will never pull on the red and blue, why would he?

It was nice being excited about the idea of Dangerfield, but im ok with it just being an idea.

We need a few more solid grunt players before going for a big fish or two in my opinion. We dont want a situation where a Dangerfield type player gets injured, then all of a sudden we start losing games because we are lacking in key areas. (Still wouldnt complain if Dangerfield came though haha)

Id rather trade pick 2 and 3 on Shiel and Trelor rather spend it all on the one player who is 25 next year and probably get 5 years out of him the way his body is going.

Lets not put all our eggs in one basket.

Not happening guys.

it was either Dangerfield or Sanderson. Rumours about Melbourne were deliberately leaked to ensure the threat was taken seriously.

From what I have been told Danger will now stay, and probably recommit.

To be honest I don't want blokes who can weild that sort of power anyway.

You mean Cam Schwab and Chris Connolly?? :)

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
