Announced on 360 tonight that there's been a major stuff-up at Adelaide. The media have got hold of a copy of the 2016 Adelaide FC calendar, and Danger doesn't have a page. That's sure to set the hares running ..... even faster!

Heard about this, but apparently it isn't even the club that produces the calendar, it's a third party. Even then though, there could be something in it... Dangerfield would normally be their number one selling point (along with Tex).

Because they're both from SA?

He has NFI.

No doubt, but I love rumours. Even the rubbish ones.

Apparently he is the June full page spread though, so take it as you will.

Would love if (we don't get him obv.) Geelong don't get him. All my Geelong supporting mates are so arrogant in bragging and thinking he is already a signed deal. They are already talking another finals campaign next year headed by him. Wold love to rub it in their faces.

They put these together ages out from the end of season. The bigger stuff-up was Griffen and Cooney on the cover of the Dogs calendar for this year.

I'm with you on this. Outside of him miraculously coming to us I'd much rather him stay in Adelaide and not go anywhere near the handbaggers.

I'd like him to go to Geelong for for $7mill and then sit out the season/s with depression.

Huge play being made by dees for danger. Source trade rumours facebook. ;)

Lol....

Roos and Goodwin aren't stupid. I think the Hawks are front runners over Geelong. The only way we would enter the picture is by insane amounts of money. Until he's signed with someone else we're a chance, all be it a small one.

We will have to pay super overs

Had lunch today with an AFL club CEO who said that the Dangerfield deal to Geelong has been agreed to for sometime.

Done like Buddy to the Giants?

Hawks could match Geelong price wise.

I think it's far from done.

I reckon it's about time clubs start matching offers on RFA's just to be dicks.

once they make a decision to leave they're fair game, especially if compo picks are done away with.

Match the pick and send him to the draft, give the lions some thinking to do.

You couldn't be more wrong. The Hawks will be totally inactive in player signings this year as as they don't have a dollar in their salary cap. Stuart Fox mentioned today that this will be a year at the Draft for them so as to bring in some youth.

Kardinia Park (my age), Round ? 2016: Bernie does a Round 3 2015 on him and MFC does a Round 12 2015 in them. Sweet!

I keep waiting for the post: "Dangerfield has agreed to a mammoth seven year, multi-million dollar deal to join the MFC". :P

Dangerfield and Prestia for Christmas, please.

He will stay in Adelaide and sign on for another 3 years

He will stay in Adelaide and sign on for another 3 years

Will he?

Where are you getting that from?

Perhaps Facebook, where fans are trolling their Crows supporting friends by tagging them in an article from 2012 announcing a three year deal?

That's cold, by the way, sheesh...

The supposed reason for Paddy returning to Vic is to be near his family in Moggs creek.

Well, the greater Melbourne area is really only another 45 mins away from Geelong. He will be busy training and playing footy all over the country for 10 months of the year so an extra 60 kms from Ma and Pa won't mean much. FCS, he's managed to cope in Adelaide for 6+ years without being too homesick.

If he chasing immediate success he'll end up at Hawthorn on a pretty handy salary.

If he really see's 60kms as a big deal and just wants a big pay day and no chance of success he will choose Geelong.

If he's hopeful of success and wants to play a role in bringing the MFC into finals and possibly a flag within the next 8 years before he retires and get paid a shed load for it then we're in with a chance.

All Victorian teams are in the race if he's going to return.

The only reason he should leave Adelaide is for money, and why not ?? He's earned it.

The only reason he should choose Geelong over Melbourne is for the 'perks' of the job - the facilities, the coaches to make him a better player - and why not ?? Geelong have their own super training base and club administration under the one roof. We're separated by the train tracks and share facilities with other sports and the general public.

The family thing is merely a sweetener.

Without wanting to get anyone's hopes up too much, he has decided where he will be playing next year. The only thing I can say, he won't tell me where ... now I know that sounds pretty tame, but if he was going to stay in adelaide, he would have said. Despite speculation, Hawthorn were not a factor.

I believe the Melbourne offer was huge, and dwarfed the offer from Geelong. I genuinely believe it's very likely he could be at Melbourne next year. If he isn't, then don't blame anyone at the club for lack of effort.

Um what..??

Do you know him personally?

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
