GOODBYE MITCH CLARK

Featured Replies

Noticed this morning a few boys posted photos of them training at a certain boxing gym and that's the same one mitch has been training at recently.. Not sure if there's anything in that. Might just be that him been a former melbourne player he was put onto someone or the clubs told him to head down there as part of there program for him

David king on sen just stated he believes Mitch Clark will be on an afl list next year but doesn't believe it to be the dees.

If its another Melbourne club it would be a farce.

The MFC may as well close for business if that happens.

How unfair would that be?

Afl will need to grant us McCartin and Petracca on a silver platter if this happens.

It was just his opinion based on no info. He stated why would he go back to Melb if he decided to come back as he has no obligation to do so. Just speculation on Kings behalf.

other than a moral one that is !!

I really believe if Mitch Clark was too come back next year and he stays in Melbourne he wouldn't want to join another club. He seems like a super loyal fella and I have a feeling we may see him still next year...... that may be hope more than anything

Let's hope if Mitch makes the decision to come back it's after the PP has been awarded ;)

nice little slap across the chin for the AFL

oh righto, got in the car right near the end of the conversation and it sounded like he had some info

be sweet revenge :)

If Mitch ends up on another AFL list next year if he chooses to stay in the city of Melbourne, it would be an absolute sham and probably the final heart break I could take.

maybe I am too philosophical.

I support the club , I go to game, tip in money but.......

I can step back and look at the club objectively.

We have positives in Roos and PJ and what seems a stable admin and sub coaching staff.

The negative is the players - our list stinks on ice.

Looking at it objectively - there may be some attraction for players to play under Roos but there would be no doubt in anyones mind that it is a long way back for us.

Given a choice of lots of other clubs to play for - as a professional striving for success - what would your decision be.

I dont blame Clark if he went elsewhere and you cant blame Frawley for craving success and seeing it a long way off at our club.

He wasn't training with the boys this morning he was just at the same gym the other morning that the current players were at this morning

I would.

yeah I know - and I don't blame those who do.

I know he will only come back if he is well enough but seriously - do you think playing for our mob the last three years would be good for your mental health ?

I know supporting it is not good for my mental health, if he went elsewhere it would only make it worse.

I would.

I agree, I would be seriously [censored] off if Mitch went to another club, we have done a lot for him in a very difficult time and make no mistake Mitch would have made a difference to our on field performance this year, I reckon with Mitch we could have 7-8 wins

Our club is now run by shrewd operators... I wouldn't be at all surprised if he has made some sort of a commitment to the club to make a comeback, however, this is being kept under wraps until the decision on our priority pick is made first.

Pick 2, pick 3, pick 4, and Clark is a MASSIVE step in another rebuild.

(Yes, I know the above situation is highly unlikely to happen... but at least we can dream. Haha)

I would.

Id find it contemptible personally. Hopefully he's make of finer stuff.

A question to the learned.

Hypothetically can we keep Clark on the list til Dec 5 ?

Take off your Melbourne hat for a second. After serious depression issues you have a chance to restart your career and jump on board the SS Minnow ( where you once did a 3 hour tour) or the QE2. Which one would you take.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
