FFS...

Why is it so hard for some people to get their head around?!

Some people with depression don't understand why they have it..work that out.

Remember Schwartz went through three knee re constructions.......showed amazing resiliance.

Right... Point being?

Your post is symptomatic of not understanding depression in even a small way.

It is an illness, it is not a lack of resilience.

oh please dr jvf  sometimes it's best to keep your mouth..........(you know the rest)

thats poor daisycutter.

?

I know that.

Very few people with depression "understand why they have it."

Some people with depression don't understand depression, a lack of resilience can be a contributing factor.

Great. Thanks for your pearls of wisdom.

Are you just being a troll?

Your avatar would suggest as much.

Great to see Mitch Clark continues to support for the boys and I love reading his enthusiastic tweets. It is heartbreaking that he is not playing but comforting that he has the club in his heart and he remains one of us.

If Mitch was still playing we would be 5 wins I reckon.

I just hope these wins are sending positive vibes through Mitch's grey matter.... and his foot. Who knows we might see a minor miracle yet.

Get around to his place boys and share the man love!!

Gee imagine Clark back in the side along with Hogan.. We really need Hogan back out there, I feel Dawes will be spent being the number one key target week in week out. He just seems to get double teamed each week now and finding it hard to take a grab.

I have so much respect for Mitch Clark.

Unfortunately, depression these days is still viewed wrongly as some kind of a personal failing and not a medical condition. Some blokes just shut up shop rather than seek help until it overwhelms them. For Mitch to admit he has a problem, open himself up to the world and to give up footy to get himself right takes huge courage.
I love the fact that he still loves the club and is cheering us on from the sidelines.
I am proud that we, as a club and at least from the outside looking in, handled this situation as well as we could. No more throwing people under the bus. The player's interests were put first and foremost. No more crap about being 'ruthless' and treating people like a slab of beef.

Really missing seeing the big 11 run around for the Dees

Hope all is going well Mitch - You'll always be a loved Demon as well

Would be great to see him in the stands watching a game one of these days.

does anyone think theres any chance at all he may have a change of heart one day and come back and play footy with us

Nope I think he is finally at a happy head space now.

Considering he played more games for the Lions then us. Wish he was out there, I miss his pack crash.

I would say change of head space/improvement in health... etc rather than change of heart, but yes, the irrationally optimistic part of me has let the possibility enter my head.

This post by Mitch on twitter just contributes to the (most likely misguided) optimism...

6am start at the gym. Time to get fit again. Thank you to everyone who has wrote to me. I can't thank you all enough

As does Nathan Jones on Talking Footy last night being asked about that very tweet saying that the club would love to have him back playing.

Would be absolutely stoked if he came back and played again!

Could Mitch Clark make a comeback, and play for the dees again in 2015 ?

His twitter feed, apart from showing he still has love for MFC, is indicating he is making a return to the gym... could this be the first step on the journey to the biggest comeback in AFL history ??

Could mean fit enough to walk properly.

They asked Jones about this on Talking Footy, Jones was pretty guarded about it but couldn't hide his hope that he could return. I got the feeling that it was more to do with his hope that he's on the road to recovery.

It's all about Mitch getting better, if he feels up for a return then I hope he considers us first.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
