Jeez the umpires are loving us today. I could get used to this.

It's nice for a change, but yes, getting a very nice rub from them at the minute.

Jonesy's playing a captains quarter. 10 touches and a goal with 10 minutes till halftime.

Feels like we've been the better side this quarter, Brisbane's just had one scoring shot (which was a goal). But we're not getting anywhere on the scoreboard.

Its been a common theme this year.

We are absolutely dominating in contested possession, currently 64-48 (apparently we're double them in this stat for this quarter). Disappointing that we've only scored 1.3 1.4 1.5 this quarter.

We're running a big risk of being trampled if we lose the momentum.

Good decision by Vince to stop Bail marking the ball.

Haha...

Daniel Merrett is the spitting image of Grenn from Game of Thrones. Grenn is nowhere near as objectionable though.

Be nice if we could get our goal kicking right.

Next week is an easy decision. Bail out, Michie in.

Apart from a dropped mark and the odd mistake the bloke works incredibly hard, 11 touches, 4 marks, 3 tackles... far from our worst.

Half Time stats:

Disposals: 190-176

Free Kicks: 15-5

Clearances: 14-21

Inside 50s: 19-28

Contested Possessions: 76-52

Tackles: 23-31

A lot of the ball for not enough inside 50s, and when we're inside 50 we're missing shots we shouldn't be.

Margin feels about right; we should have been 2-3 down at quarter time but we should have won that quarter by 2-3.

If we clean up the mistakes we look like we're playing well enough to get it done, but that's a big if.

a 1 goal quarter vs the Brisbane Lions in Mekbourne

dear christ

We should have blown them away that quarter but for some reason Paul Roos doesn't want us to kick goals

Don't let common sense intervene, Bail is one of our best for forward pressure and defensive acts which are not measured outside match committee, but it's easy for posters to have him listed as an out every time we have a changes for next week thread.

Indeed it's his hard work that keeps him in the side.

It's more than 'the odd mistake' though.
