If Melbourne's list was determined by Demonland it would contain N Jones, Tyson, Cross, Vince, Hogan and Jetta. And maybe Salem and JKH. Everyone else would be in trouble.

edit: added Hogan

and why do you suppose they would stop at those names....it bears thinking about ( theres probably a handful more ) but again...Think

Watts needs a hit of Ayahuasca and some psychological awakening to form a bond between his mind and body because at the moment they're so far apart. Until he is comfortable in his body and strong in the mind, he'll always float about.

The guy doesn't need any more football related training or exercises.

He needs to see a sports psychologist and strip back some of the conditioning that holds him back on the field.

And ayahuasca.

watts needs to take about 6 of these Pre game -

This label of "bashing" that gets attributed to anyone who is critical of Watts' output to date is silly.

Just a reminder, this year , per game Jack 19 games Nic Nat 18 games Jamar 14 games Gawn 6 games

This year, Jack Watts Nic Nat Jamar Max Gawn

So Watts is not a failure, Nic Nat is no superstar and Gawn is great value for money.

I have come to the point I share the idea here from Ox. Simply better to part ways with Watts and reboot.

The real , not suggested improvement always seems a little way away, an iluusion.

And hate to tell you , but often what Roos says isnt actually what hes thinking, its just for [public consumption. You need to decipher Roos-speak

Have said it myself months ago. If I was offered pck 20 I would take it.

While not perfect, supercoach scores are a good way of judging a players impact on the game.

Watts - 75, Nic Nat - 89.2

Hayden Crozier

Jayden Pitt

Nathan Fyfe

The last six pick 20 in the draft. Other than Fyfe would you swap Watts for them?

I compare him to Nic Nac for obvious reasons. I compare Nic Nat to other ruckmen.

Yes, but the currency of pick 20 is what you get. And my list shows you what you get for pick 20.

No it doesnt,it shows a list of players.

Nobody knows what is the going rate in a moving market.

PR is the best in the bizz at making trades.

Please no JW comparisons, its a market based on here and now.

The value of pick 20 IS pick 20.

You may trade it, you may pool it with other picks You can do with it what you wish, but the end of the day its value is pick 20. Someone will eventually use it and guess what they will get? Yes that's right PICK 20.

To get more than its value is to presume that another team will pay overs for it. And the last time I looked pick 20 was not a huge bargaining chip.

I think that actually was his point RPFC...he wasnt attributing bashing ( suggested that others were doing so ) just questioning it

Rewritten to make sense.

that is a vacuous statement at best. what are you actually saying ? Try addressing the comment . Its currency...now its you turn

Personally I wouldn't trade Watts, true he frustrates every supporter in some way, but I equate him to Brendon Goddard (used to bring at ST Kilda supporting acquaintance of mine to tears on a regular basis), he is getting there, (whoops hit the post key too quick).....Roos seems content with the direction Watts is heading so all this talk of trade etc seems mute

As you say Saty he frustrates the crap out of me however Roos gives no indication of anything but support.

This time next year might be different as he will be heading towards FA.

I will be very surprises if he is traded at the end of this year.

interesting comparison , Goddard that is. were you able to guarantee a similar outcome , i.e same change in demeanor and output ( ne effect ) then wonderful. I Dont recall Goddard ever being about to be bounced around as such just that he was lazy and half hearted at times. Happy to be corrected

Every single one of these players have been in the system for at least a year and have offered less than Watts, can we please move on from this conversation... he's going nowhere.

And don't give me the currency comment. We're going to have plenty of high draft picks to work with this year.

Name the last coach to publicy NOT support a current player on his list.?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
