I was a bit doubtful about how quickly Roos and his coaches could unlock the potential that has been below the surface in a few of our mid tier players, but I was wrong.

I didn't want to get my hopes up on Roos and his coaches unlocking potential as I have been burned so often on "promises" - I was wrong too !

Chap it's what I told you about Jetta and Roos, Roos wanted Nev to get the shutdown role to become second nature first, then when he was comfortable with that, to use his natural ability to take the game on, I spoke to him at training on the Thursday before, he was excited about playing in the Indigenous Round and was confident he could shut down Wingard and others and then start create and take the game on, but Roos rule is defend first

Nev also owes Jade Rawlings, it was Jade who went in to bat for him to keep him on the rookie list.

The good thing with Nev, he is still not confident that he will be retained, so he is going out each week to make them keep him

One thing I love about Nev is that he is as tough as anyone on our list, and he is happy to just play his role, doesn't need personal glory, he really is the ideal player in a lot of ways for a paul roos game syle

N.Jones - disappeared when needed

Grimes - was rarely sighted

Salem - classy but raw

Watts - probably had sunstroke

Toumpas - made little impression

Viney - regularly lacked composure

Frawley - provided a target

Tyson - great until last

Dunn - outstanding all game

Cross - great stopping performance

Garland - reliable and safe

Pedersen - continued fine year

Vince - steady but limited

Kennedy- Harris - was disappointing today

McDonald - brave and steady

Gawn - had little impact

Howe - a few cameos

Jamar - lionhearted as always

Bail - great first half

M.Jones - great first half

Terlich - great first half

Jetta - played with passion

Negative considering we could have won, just don't know what you expect from young players and blokes who've been beaten around the head for 5 years. I reckon they are doing heaps better than what you say, think we are just building and by this time next year will be winning all these games. Consider the words of that great philosopher Rachel Hunter...."it doesn't happen overnight, but it will happen"...........

We were in front of the ladder leaders well into the last quarter and I would say 50% of the reviews are criticism. Pretty much a joke if you ask me.

So true. But hey, we're MFC supporters and a tad slow to cotton on. I remember these forums severely looking down on the Swans tough contested congested September footy of the Roos era; while players like White and Yze were lauded as A-graders.

From my perspective there were no more than 5 negative summations, and all were relevant to the one game , not the year to date.

Frankly , I think you're 'pretty much a joke, if you ask me'!

And if you find my analysis not to your liking, that's your prerogative , but kindly present your own 3 worders so we can all recognize a genius at work!!

I just like that he's playing in a position that matches his skillset. The amount of times I've had to bury my head in my hands as previous coaching regimes have deployed him as a small forward.........
