Quarter time and after scoring the first two points, Casey have gone into a shell and most of the game is being played in Willi's half.

Casey 0.2.2 Williamstown 3.7.25

Max Gawn has been good when in the ruck and around the ground and Nev Jetta has done well in defence but poor disposal has led to continual turnovers.

Like last week's game with Melbourne there doesn't seem to be anybody in the forward line. The coach has a lot of work to do with this team.

Can you confirm Jack Viney done for the day ?

Ran straight down the race but it could be a precaution. Don't expect to see him line up next week against St. Kilda.

Unfortunate. How about JKH? Are there any players we could put into the AFL side to remotely resemble a forward line?

At last a goal to Casey through Nathan Page. Scorps 1.5.11 Willi 3.7.25 after 17 minutes into the second quarter.

Pickles Evans is playing well and Casey gets its second in a minute, this time through recruit Ed Morris.

Half time and Casey kept the visitors scoreless while scoring four goals. Nicholson kicked a goal coming down from defence, earned a 50m penalty and kicked truly.

The story of the day is the form of Max Gawn in the ruck. Getting better as the game goes on and now we need to see if he comes out after half time and is capable of reproducing that for 100 minutes.

Casey 4.6.30 to Williamstown 3.7.25

[Disclaimer: I'm one of Max's sponsors but that hasn't coloured my view.]

Lol...

Interested in how Salem and Hunt are going 'Jack'.

Whispering Jack's half time exclusive.

Paul Roos is here with his two sons (I think). They just ordered sausage rolls and chips from the canteen and bought a pack of lollies (snakes?). I hope the club nutritionist isn't here as well.

Tony Elshaugh's hanging around, presumably spying for St. Kilda.

FFS, Viney needs to start wearing a helmet.

Needs to be smarter in his attack of the footy in a contest.

Snap from 50m and Willy stretches its lead to 35 points and then just to cap things off, another turnover (the word of the quarter) results in a goal to Williamstown on the siren. Score 10.12.72 to 4.6.30.

Yes, there is a bit of a wind but Casey's style of play is also a major contributor.

Twenty-one minutes into the game, the mistakes continue and for the last 10 minutes there hasn't been a player in Casey's forward half. This stuff is virtually unwatchable.

Come on WJ, I would think it would probably sit in the lower end of unwatchable performances.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
