I think the exchange between Biff and Stuie might be symbolic of most of the posts on the 'Land. We start a topic, it eventually gets off track and ends up becoming personal sniping. Kudos to Biff and Stuie. Kudos.

i love it

it makes my day when the biff slings some mud.

especially when the victim bites back.

gotta love snipers and have a laugh every now and then

Yes, Biff is money.

I just wish he would change his picture back to that one where it looks like Ray Biffin has been licking hallucinogenic toads.

The day the Neeld got sacked!

I came to DL with a mission which is now fully realised.

It was the day that Satyriconhome started his 6 months in exile. He is back but in his old guise as a 'training reports' poster. It will be interesting to see if he finds another gear when the season starts proper.

I don't mind that. It was the behaving like a bell end that I didn't appreciate.

Another greatest moment would be when the bugler turned up. He wasn't that bad a chap actually.

Range Rovers 'resignation' was quite entertaining, even though it was some of the most self indulgent bs I'd ever read. That guy was extremely delusional.

My favourite post was when We were discussing trading Ryan Ferguson for Brad Sewell. The natives here were livid with the potential trade and saying as much, Craig Cameron came you to let all know the trade wasn't happening. His words were to be precise were "Ferguson's not going anywhere", Old55 who didn't rate Ryan quickly responded by quoting it with a line along the lines of "Ain't that the truth" or "you got that right"

I enjoy the Nudge/Chilli Boy rumour threads every year. So good that they cant all be made up?!

Posted (edited)

I must have missed it Colin. Which thread was that?

Hmmm. I thought this thread had died a natural death.

I believe he was posting on here as 'Davey Trumpet' or something like that. For the bollocking he used to get on here (and that definitely includes me who, in one of my angrier and less mature moments during 2012, started a FB group looking for his ouster), he was quite gracious about it all.

That being said, it really did need to stop.

Edit: And here it is MS

Yes, Nudge,/Chilli Boy was very entertaining around trade time. IIRC he got howled down so much he spat the dummy and stopped providing rumours.

With his name reappearing and a potential comeback being mooted, could someone find the link of RR's resignation letter? I remember him telling us that he was off to start some kind of revolution to bring Neeld, McLardy and Schwab down but I don't remember seeing the original letter.

Just thinking before but we have three new additions to the greatest moments thread:

1) Hogan's Heroes threatened resignation during the Essendon match.

2) P-Man's 'Demonland debates what color is the sky?' thread.

3) ENYAW's 'What is the value of pick 2?' thread.

I am not a bettng man but whenever Hogans Heroes makes a prediction I clean up by betting the opposite.

"Great" is debateable, but the last few days have been memorable. Remembered as when GNF aka 'the riddler' crashed land with tales of not little birds and electric clocks, the Mitch Clark thread breaking page records, and the Dangerfield thread turning fishy. Actually, the last one was a definite low point. :)

Hopefully the week ends on a high note.

I also find it pretty funny that some people have now disowned him after the Roos and Neeld predictions.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
