Condolences mate.

A merry Christmas to all.

It wakes us all up a little rjay...I shall raise a glass to you on Christmas day...to have strength to still enjoy the demons next year...

and keep contributing to 'Land.

All the best rjay and family: I hope you get some time to remember a good woman with lots of fond memories.

For Christmas at our place we always got our kids a major gift, a minor gift, and a tiny little token thing. So -

Big gift. Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon and Hawthorn to be the bottom four teams for 20 years. Let me sit back and watch them become the Dees, Doggies, Lions and Saints of the 70's & 80's. Hopefully, one of them would have to merge or relocate to survive.

Minor gift. Footy Journalists begin to actually report on the GAME; not the club/AFL politics, not unimportant night habits of famous players, not giving opinion as if it is fact, and actually not reporting rumour, speculation, and social media fairy-floss. Just report on the best game in the world.

Token gift. For James Hird to travel to Darwin for holiday, and for Matty Whelan to line him up in a shopping centre and lay him out just like that great bump in the Elimination final in 2006.

Rjay, my condolences. Some Landers will be aware that my old man passed away this year and this is our first Christmas without him, so I know to some extent how you're feeling. Stay strong brother. All the best.

What would you like for Christmas? Be creative lads..

For me it would be Cotchin to return a positive sample or Eddie booted for a drunken racial rant..

Merry Christmas!!

tuff this one,ive got plenty to wish for

1/razors to be a must at demonland

2/essendon to lose 9 players and finish on the bottom, well only for 10 years

3/mitch robinson to get elocution lessens

4/the afl to bring in free laser treatment and my daughter will make a killing

5/collingwood players to be fair and reasonable when interviewed

5/gaj hopes to return to victoria and nominates the dees as prefered club

6/biff to learn 8 letter words?

7/peace and love to all

Condolences rjay. Hope you enjoy the festive season even during this difficult time.

All I want for Christmas is to get through one more week of work hell, go on holidays, find millions of dollars while I'm in the US and then proceed to tell my bosses to go to hell. Not a lot to ask really.

Mine would be for Demonland to bring back the Like Button. As this post would possibly get my biggest like of 2013.

Merry Xmas to all of us mad enough to follow the MFC. Go Dee's.

Condolences rjay

Peace on earth at every away game

Raging uproar at every home game

I know my wife has bought me a MFC Membership. Yet she thinks I have no idea

Merry Christmas to everyone

My wish for Christmas is for Santa to sprinkle some magic dust on the MFC and for us to start winning games and become a powerhouse once more

Thanks P-man. It will be a difficult Christmas for both of us, cheers mate.

So while we're on the subject of losing people, a very special supporter of the club who I have known since my schooldays was tragically killed in a car accident last week. I didn't know her very well but she was an avid Demon fan and whenever we met the conversation would turn to our footy team.

If any of Miriam's family comes across this, please accept my condolences on your very sad loss and the same to all who have lost loved ones this year.

Rjay Condolences, a tough time for your family.

To all the demonlanders family my very uncreative wish is you all have a relaxing and happy christmas with your loved ones and thanks for the discussion this year.

Lets hope Mr Roos turns out to be santa and brings us many wins.

I couldnt express it any better Well done and thanks Robbie.

May we also have plenty more fantastic discussions next year.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
