Talented young mid/half back, far too good to be rotting in the reserves up in Sydney but i suppose that's what so many first round picks does to you.

Great kid, leadership potential, and would most likely get him for very little.

anyone interested?

Reports that he has asked for a trade. In my opinion he is a must get for us.

Still young and would slot straight into our midfield.

Has been dominating the NEAFL but with GWS young guns its a hard place to break in atm.

This was Pre Draft:

Anthony Miles is an inside midfielder from Howlong near Albury and is hailed as a natural leader having captained NSW/ACT at both the NAB Under”16 and Under”18 Championships.

In 2009 Miles played 13 matches as a bottom aged player for the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup, and in 2010 he played 11 matches to average an elite 27 disposals and 12 contested possessions per match.

In both seasons he was runner”up in the Bushrangers best and fairest and in 2010 was selected in the TAC Cup Team of the Year.

At the 2009 NAB Under”18 Championships he averaged 13 disposals and five-contested possessions while in 2010 his averages of 30 disposals and 13 contested possessions were both ranked number one.

These efforts saw him selected in the 2010 NAB AFL U18 All”Australian team.

This was at the start of the year:

Anthony Miles made his AFL debut in Round 4 against Adelaide, collecting 15 disposals and eight marks on debut.

The tough midfielder played seven games in his first season in the AFL with an impressive average of 18.3 disposals and 4.9 marks.

Miles’ most exciting display in his first season was against Fremantle in Round 17 when he amassed 27 disposals and took six marks.

Miles also showed a lot of promise with a number of best on ground performances in the NEAFL in 2012.

More Info:

February 28, 1992, 181cm, 76kg
Anthony has great ability to win the contested footy. He uses it effectively, which sets him apart from many others. His work rate is outstanding and is matched by his energy and fanaticism to do the extra things, which complements his game well.

Is it time to start getting into his ear, and telling him to enter the PSD so we can take him? I sure as hell think so!

Hard to get info or footage of this guy but he is a mid and it would be nice to add another mid with a couple years work under their belt.

Does anyone know if GWS wants to give him a contract or is he going to probably be delisted?

If he is better than Nicho or Jetta than I am all for it.

I don't know if a contract has been to the table, all i know is he is uncontracted.

Alright if anyone's actually seen this guy play come forh now. tell us of what you saw

Yeah, I picked him in my supercoach last year (GWS first year), pretty sure he had a good NAB cup.

Anyway there was some reason I selected him, but I think he got injured and never played many games.

I liked the kid, but can't remember too much.

Highly rated when GWS were formed and hadn't played a game. Not sure what happened since then. There has to be one amongst us with knowledge on where he is at and why he hasn't played?

Those last 3 games was his test against some goodish players Ablett, Jones and Palmer.

Obvious set to test his mettle. Acquitted himself well by the sounds of things

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
