There are a few passengers out there today. I'd like to see more desperation and a greater sense of urgency.

A lot of joggers, not many hard runners.

Peterson, Grimes, Dunn. Very casual players ATM.

They only sprint when they have to, sprinting needs to be their first option.

Dont run hard enough. Dont dispose well enough. Kent has been gifted games for a month so I am not surprised. Spencer cracking in well but Gawn and Fitz as well is too tall.

Tappy is our most effective player.

Watts close behind.

Toump-get some grippo son.

Fitzy-on the highlight reel forever that one.

Spence-big ,clumsy,puts in.

Pedo-you dont need an invite to tackle-keep your f^&*ing feet in the contest.

Can we please learn to defend. Basic errors like trying to chop the ball off in flight, not getting there and suddenly opposition is away. HOLD THE [censored] PLAYER UP. useless.

It's poor coaching from Craig to keep rewarding players when they have a long stretch of bad games, especially after our pathetic display last week.

Why is Gawn playing? To Give Spencer a chop out? He's giving us nothing up forward. We've gone too tall today. That may well be another poor Craig move.

Gawn did play very well against them last time at the G. I understand Craig's thinking that he wants to stretch their tall's.

We are the worst AFL side in the history of the game right now.

Zero pride as a team. So sad.

Dont run hard enough. Dont dispose well enough. Kent has been gifted games for a month.

Meanwhile a potential ok midfield option continues to rot at Casey (magnet). Too many talls, not enough mid field rotations to help Jones etc. poor coaching selection (again) by Craig & co.

Another black mark against Craig continuing. The negatives continue to mount by the week for him being considered beyond this season.

Good first quarter by SIlvia - watched two of his runs through the guts which caused two goals.

Turnovers are killing us. Two of their three last in the first quarter were from turnovers...

Grimes stuffing up again.

why the [censored] do we constantly kickit into the man on the mark

happens EVERY WEEK

so many retards on this team

I'm not a huge fan but Clisby has been good today.

Tapscott and Clisby aren't good enough.

How does Toumpas end up minding Phil Davis from a GWS kick out? Is there anyone out there with half a brain?

We've been peppering the goals but missing, they go up the other end once and get a goal. That hurts.

Typical half ass efforts. Bunch of heartless pricks. Where is the gut running ffs

You know what this feels like? Being burnt alive.

I don't know how that actually feels, but I imagine the pain would be similar.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
