Hi all,

Just a heads up that Peter Jackson will be on the couch on Fox Footy on Monday night.

Should be interesting.

Wonder if Roos will be "otherwise occupied" that night?

Body language could be fascinating :)

Thanks for the heads up.

Looking forward to the interview.

Wonder if he will make an announcement? Isnt he going overseas soon after this interview

Wouldn't mind seeing Roos put pen to paper on tele.

Sheahan and Healy were carrying on about how his signature is a couple of weeks away (a couple of weeks ago).

Dreaming?

Most definitely.

On the Couch is just about my favourite footy show; really looking forward to this one!

PJ might be able to SMS Roos from his chair next to the couch.

I think I heard a whisper that Roos will be on the 5:30am (ex Melbourne) flight to Perth on Monday and may not make it back in time.

Must watch tv thanks for the heads up!

you need that radar looked at bb

Anyone care to stipulate about the motives for this appearance?

Is it for PJ to try and put pressure on Roos either way through a showdown?

I get why Roos has to be there, it's his job and I doubt he gets to veto guests. But I don't see why Jackson has to go on if it will disadvantage him in his coaching selection task.

The answer to that is that he wouldn't, he simply wouldn't go on if it was going to do 1% damage to his chances on signing target #1

either there is more to this, or the coaching situation will not be bought up at all.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
