New Demonland Banner

Quick poll: Dawes or Frawley? Preference.

Frawley

the 2 new shadows look like Garland(right) and frawley(left) to me

Golly , not a flattering pic of J.V. looks like he's just lost a cage fight !

Great job so far and while I'm not criticising I reckon there's room for improvement with Mitch.

Frawley for mine, he has earned it over the years and I hope he will approve his loyalty soon enough!

Frawley for me

Chip and Col Garland. Dawes possibly a sneaky chance.

pretty handy core group right there

I understand that the banner represents our future hope, but I'd like to see Davey on their for the service he has done to date, & to recognise he has been an unofficial leader of the club for years now

Nope.

The banner is perfect,

If Trengove can pull his finger out, that is.

The four on the left are all currently injured?

A statement on the condition of the left the world over, n'est pas?

geat looking banner DL. Great background and great choice of players.

Is the banner supposed to be an injury list?

Only two fit players on it.

Otherwise love it, Dawes is stiff to miss out.

As usual, Demonlandy has done a great banner. In particular, I love the way the sky's colour moves from blue to red from left to right. It seems to give the appearance of foreboding as if the Demon has awoken, he's had enough and is about to wreak havoc on his enemies. Go Dees!

Haha..i like your take on the blue to red. The only downside is that Frawley is all the way on the left where the Demon is asleep/depressed.

Actually yeah, that works.

If anyone deserves some success it's Chip.

Really? I had a feeling you might have chosen Dawes. ;)

I don't know what gave you the clue.

Now before the silhouettes come out.

I have consulted "Nostradamus" my pet Guinea Pig he suggests you have Howe & Dawes as your final 2

I have said Guinea Pig was the brains in case I was wrong. That way he gets less lettuce and I get more wine.

Great work on the banner. Looks great!

Would of loved to have seen Jeremy Howe up there though.

Gives 100% every week, bleeds red and blue and is the name my kids call out when kicking the footy.

Hey demonland, since you picked up the Idea of the watermarked player, & you've made a nice piece, of the sky,,, it appears to be sunset, with the dark sky tones....

... what about turning the Tower lights On? I think it could be a nice touch?

& maybe JV could be holding a Sherrin?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
