You don't meet with the leadership group and discuss your game plan unless you're damn sure you're gonna be coaching them. Paul Roos is locked and loaded.

I am sure he is about to sign, but you don't talk like this to journos if you already have.

All these assistants we are lining up would hear it and think 'what are they doing?'

I don't think he has signed a contract yet and that is what we are telling these prospective assistant coaches. Once he signs on the dotted line then we sign up everyone else.

I know he is playing the media here, but I don't think he has anything more than intentions at this stage.

In yesterday's coverage, Healy kept saying "They will be better with Roos coaching...if he signs"

He was always saying something then, adding after a short gap, if he signs. Healy knows, he said he asked his brother and could not repeat what was said... Then said its too busive for TV with a massive smirk on his noggin

He also stated 50 + 50 equals 100 about 3 times.

Knows his math Gerald.

If his family says no... Then it's no! I'm sending flowers to Tammy as we speak!

Im not sure if many are up with how a lot of magicians tricks are conjured. The actual events have often taken place early. The rest is smoke and mirrors to obsfucate the audience . Sound familiar ?? Do here, make'm look there...

Roos wouldnt have said boo to us had not Tammi and co given him the green light months and months ago. This is all a show for public consumption.

Craig said in the Presser, that the exit interviews start on Wednesday. You would expect the coach to be involved in them. Even if it were a new coach.

Reading between the lines here, but I interpret that as Neil has been asked to catch up with PJ for a coffee on Wednesday.

That's a costly coffee - he is contracted for $400k+ next year.

The exit I envision for Craig is one of his own volition.

You certainly sense he's an honorable man dont you.

A certain manager of a certain high profile, high draft pick who's contract is up, has told me that it has been confirmed to him by our club that Roos will be coach.

This story has played true since I first discussed it on here in May. Now I am waiting to collect my winnings from the dam bookmaker who would only let me bet $20 @ odds of $8. Hope a few others here took my advice.

When confirmed this is the best possible news for our Football Club.

Only a coffee at this stage RP.

They interviewed Craig in the pre-match show yesteday, quizzed him about the Brisbane gig. Apparently the jungle drums are beating quite loudly in terms of Craig for Brisbane.

I don't normally do this....and I don't have it from Paul Roos directly.....but.....

I have it from a well connected source that it's done.

And will this certain high profile player now do us the honor of re-signing?

Don't tell me, you hit the ouija board over the weekend?

I'm only high on post 19 point competitive loss to the bulldogs at Etihad who were probably half tanking and kicked 9 goals in a quarter. This is the kind of high I only wish Mark Neeld could've stayed around to enjoy.

As for Roos with his family. Hi there Tyler, it's me Paul. You are finishing year 12 this year. I've got a contract deal to make 1.6million a year next year, do you think I should do it?

Tyler - Hmm let me think, get me an apartment near the city that I can rent for cheap with my friends, and pay for my uni at Melbourne uni or RMIT, get us a beach house at Portsea, buy me a car, promise me a holiday at the end of each year and we'll talk. Ok thanks dad.

Agreed, except Tyler will be telling PJ his demands. Just like Scully Snr and GWS. And we'll pay. A lot less than the pie chugger cost GWS to get that one across the line. wonder if he'll be included in the Salary Cap too

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
