I'm not sure what pederson has done to be selected at all, and Nicholson the only thing i can think of is he may have the pace to go with the smalls of carlton, Strauss and kent i can see being in the next top 8 Dees side so it will be awesome to get some game time into them

Not much use having the pace to go with the Carlton smalls ...He needs the ability to RUN at them and maybe beat them occasionally !!

good luck Dean Kent, give them hell son

Do AFL rules allow him to wear the cape, and his underpants on the outside? Or does he have to wear the suit and the glasses?

Surely Pederson is an out!

He was woeful last week. Barely got a touch. He needs to learn how to get to more contests.

IC: Strauss, Tapscott, Evans

Sub: Davey

It was between Blease and Davey for the sub. Davey is a better sub player.

Blease to get form at Casey and come back to play full games.

Not sure I would want to drop Pederson in the absence of Clark, Dawes and to a lesser extent, Watts.

Wrong Kent. Unfortunately Clark's out of the side. Coincidence . . . or something else?

Commentators everywhere will have a field day if Clark ever takes a hanger on Kent's shoulders.

"A Clark Kent special! Is he a bird or a plane?!" etc.

I would. He can't get a kick !

Jamar... Groin ????? Really ?? The usual "injury" excuse to drop an out of form player.

No, just the usual negative Demonland response to an injured player. Got nothing to say? Not a problem just Make Stuff Up.

He hasn't even trained this week.

Good Evans! Watts Clark Kent Dunn to the Flash? He's Gawn! Blease help him!

Whoa !!! If it's just the usuall Demonland negative response to an injured player then why bother highlighting it ?? Everybody must be commenting similarly to every injured Demon player if that's the case... !! He has played his best games with the Dees , I believe.. Loved him when he was capable but sadly those days could have passed him by.. We just need to move on as we do with several others... There are other ruckmen we need to concentrate on and groom NOW !! Jamar will not be part of our future...Hardly ever marks aroud the ground or kicks goals anymore.. I am not picking on him just seems coincidental that when some of our players are performing even worse than others they seem to find an injury which didn't appear to happen during a game ????

Call me crazy, but I actually really like those outs. The ins are a bit of an unknown quantity, but they're all goers and relatively hard runners.

The "outs" all distinguish themselves by (low) output, application and intensity.

The "ins" would appear to offer a lot more.

Might have a modest wager after all.

Interesting they tweeted Watts out as he was never in.

Interesting they tweeted Watts out as he was never in.

Ins & Outs relate to the previous week rjay, not the squads named Thursday night.

As to the changes, I can't argue but I despair over the misuse of Blease. He should be playing inside the F50 at this stage since his ball use is not good enough to play elsewhere. He has shown he knows where the goals are and we will clearly struggle to score this weekend given the opposition and side we've picked.

I watched him closely last week and when he was chasingback through the centre twice taling Ash Mcgrath he was blowing very hard and struggling, that is what it takes to make it at this level, having speed is one thing but digging deep and gut running when your tired is what makes players

Quite happy with this week's selections [from what was offering] with the exception of dropping Davey for Nicholson. Davey has been good off-the-bench this year and is more likely to produce a couple of freak goals than Nicholson is!

I'm gonna call it now.

I reckon we'll get up this weekend.

Hehe, nice one Mac. Someone has to be able to say they called it should the miraculous happen.

Personally I am feeling a sense of inevitability about this weekend. Moreso than usual. Not a pleasant feeling.

Thanks 'diesel', I thought they were relating to the squads. Didn't notice Jamar there as well.

Pederson and the coaching panel need to realise that he is the missing tall from the backline. Once that decision is made, Pederson has a future!

that is classic! its pretty much spot on for a south london accent!

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
