Injury List - Round 2 (Dawes Hammy)

Nice, warchest spent on a guy who wont be fit for first half of a season.

Well played MFC, well played.

And even when fit he is still unproven.

Well at least I will be under no illusion that we might win next week. I might just get drunk at the G and watch Jesse hogan highlights on my phone.

This is going to be an uninformed pot shot, but I got the impression right from the moment Dawes was first declared under an injury cloud that they had been over pushing it in a desperate bid to get him back on the park when he might not be ready, and this would be the result of that. Well at least I warned you it was uninformed.

Good job, Captain Hindsight.

Or maybe his injuries are worse then first mentioned and they didn't want to be seen as picking up a player with serious on-going injuries so it was down-played as to how bad it was.

Come on guys. It's just a hamstring. No need for conspiracy theories; we have enough solid things to complain about without inventing more.

Well I'm glad the Club saw that coming. I must ring them for the lotto numbers this week.

Bail is available.

I know alot of people here don't rate him but I really rate his work ethic. At games i been to often see him gut running at loose players and such.

Just puts more pressure on the coach and players. Good. I want to see them fight hard with effort or heads roll.

Its one or the other.

Olisik - Demonland is on fire and you give this sh!t over a torn hammy?

A Perfect Storm is brewing here for the MFC. The squalls are already rolling in from the Atlantic. A cyclone is on the way. Ground Zero is coming.

Play Watts as a forward, ffs, please play him as a forward.

Mitch shouldn't risk himself this weekend, let your ankle heal.

We need Mitch for the long term.

There may not be a long term the way we are going

Couple of weeks needed at Casey first.

I'm with you WYL. This just means that there is no one that will come in and save the day. Those that created the pressure can now contend with it.

Come on FCS: the guy has an injured hamstring.

Are you one of those who also said that the recruiters should have anticipated Blease, Strauss and Molan breaking their legs....hopeless, aren't they. No balls, of the crystal type that is. And they really should have known that Bail would suffer multiple concussions, the same for Daniel Bell. Surely not the same recruiters who didn't foresee TheOx suffering multiple knee injuries. Why don't we just get better recruiters?

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
