the entire club needs to come together for a meeting. supporters included it can take plac at MCG and any supporter who wants to speak can speak with club officials allowed to say nothing untill everyone who wants to speak has spoken! as if we are putting them on trial. no longer should we just vent and then move onto next week, it's time they know they don't always have the answers and in some cases the instincts of the supporters are indeed correct because it seems everyone else is able to see the problems except them "even blind freddy"

MCG may be a stretch but you get the point, lets make this happen.

no mate, it needs to bigger then that i think your missing the point. I don't want to be adressed i want to be the adresser! the coaches and players should get no chance to speak until every supporter who wants to speak has spoken. I don't want sugar coating from the coach, if someone asks exactly what the game plan is then i want to hear what it is! who cares if it gives us away, we are a rabble anyway

That's exactly what we need, an extraordinary meeting. We need answers and totally agree that it should be led by the members and not the MFC administration. Surely the members of this club are passionate enough to make this happen. Enough is enough, someone has to draw the line in the sand!

Let's be realistic, that's not going to happen after round 1. Try again about round 8-10.

Timmy, what good would a bucket load of supporters telling the club that they suck acheive? I reckon they already know that.

That's what Demonland is for anyways!

I would love this, but it won't achieve anything apart from allowing me and many others to vent their spleen. I want something to CHANGE.

I want to players to play with some ticker.

I want evidence that Neeld's coaching is going to be effective.

Players like Sylvia, Tapscott and Watts to be dropped. I am a fan of all three but they represent the heart of the matter - no ticker.

And please, for the love of all things good and true, never play Gillies or Pedersen again.

Is that the same AGM where members were told not to ask any questions regarding certain topics? Infact I think that's happened two years on the trot now.... Pathetic by the club just sweeping very important topics under the carpet as if nothing has happened & everything is all fine & dandy. Treating us like fools!

I have nothing but praise for Jack Viney & on reading that he is probably already my favourite player. For a 1st game player to address the whole team after a loss like that shows immense leadership. I have nothing but admiration for his character. A great first game, he can hold his head high. His Dad would be more than proud of him I'm sure.

what good has anything else we have done over the past 50 years done for us? lets put the ENTIRE CLUB on the same level, unified again.

I think this is a good idea. It has been 7 years, 3 coaches and god knows how many players (near 100?) of absolute garbage. Clearly it is not a matter of individuals at the club being to blame, there is something rotten at the core. We need to get to the bottom of what it is somehow.

Ok so what would you say? Tell me what you could point out that could help on the field. If it is so bloody brilliant that players, ex players, head coaches and assistants haven't thought of then you my friend can have the gig as the main man for yourself. You want to tell the club your are pi55ed off. Fair enough I get that. I am too. It's called Email. Tell them that way.

you think the players read those emails? its not even what about what we'd all say. its deeper then that. there was no effort today nor has the been for the last 7 years and i'm sure they have gotten plenty of emails over those 7 years about this. to hear it from a massive group of unified supporters personally i reckon that would be pretty damn powerful a hell of a lot more then an email. im sure it would hurt all the players to sit their and cop it, but i'd bet my life they'd never want to be put in that position again and you'd hope they'd do everything in their power to avoid...like playing with heart and effort!

If players can't put in effort and heart for their own sake and for the blokes they train with every day I don't think a few angry supporters will get them going. Your idea has no substance. You just want to vent which is fine. I asked what would you say if you had the chance to improve on field perfromance and you can't answer. I couldn't give any information or advice to a AFL footballer apart from bust ya gut.

emails can be deleted.

It really is time for drastic action xx

Actions are fine WYL. Getting a handful of [censored] off supporters together to yell RABBLE at the same time is not action.

Would we be able to get together a ticket to challenge the board, through a combination of non-political MFC supporters?

Put the club first in all regards.

the supporters do need a voice cowboy.

I am tired of being fed poo each year, and sadly that is what it is.

This club is right on the edge.

How can we adequately express our rage to the leaders of our club?

At AGM's we have our questions disallowed, restricted, or the question time limited.

If we phone or email the club we get the automatic response of "yes the club is hurting but we need all our supporters to pull together".

Journalists, Commentators, news reporters, web-site coordinators - they all get a forum to express ideas and emotions to the club.

What is ours?

You'll certainly hear one very angry phone call to the Ox come around 5pm Tuesday, I promise you that much.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
